Hotel California Garden

I mean, everything is good, EXCEPT FROM THE STUPID MEALS, LIKE ATLEAST THERE IS A RESTAURANT BUT WHYYYY JUST WHYYYYY I WANT THEM TO LIKE, IDK MAKE A STEAK DINNER OR SOMETHING AND A SIDE SALAD, I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THIS A 5 BUT JUST BECAUSE THE FOOD JUST GIVES IT A 4, the only reason it isnt 3 is because, well the P o o l.

Just stayed at this hotel from 17th to 20th of April 2025. The hotel lobby, lounge and pool were in great condition. The room (320) was clean and reasonably modern but the bed was very uncomfortable. The big issue I had with this hotel was the staff. They did not look happy and were particularly rude, bordering on aggressive towards the English. In particular the lady in the restaurant who checked people in was very sour faced. She was particularly rude to my 7 year old granddaughter who had damp shorts on, she actually tugged at them and then in a very aggressive manner told us to go and change them. My granddaughter was scared of this lady afterthat incident, and this was unacceptable. One final thing, the food was very poor quality, it was like canteen food. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy and will never visit it again.

We been there August, with a 7 years old child. Don’t listen for the negative comments. It is not a 5* hotel of course but you will get good for your money. The hotel is big and clean. We got a room on the fourth floor, with two double bed for three people what is very good. The room was clean, housekeeping everyday. Only the towels wasn’t very clean sometimes, but they give much more towels so you can change it. Small balcony, aircon. Walls not the thickest cos you can hear people from the neighbour room, but it wasn’t a problem. Food was tasty and so much vareity every night. At dinner you can choose different type of meets, like chicken, pork, it was rabbit meat also. Nuggets. Lots of sides, paella, vegetables, fruits, lots of tasty salads, different type of fish. Burger, breaded cheese, different pizzas and lots of different sweets. Mornings normal foods like variety of eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, sliced meets, cheese, toast, bagett, muesli, croassant, doughnuts and different type of sweets. We always had good food. I don't understand those who wrote that they had no choice and couldn't eat anything, what did they expect, what did they want to eat?! My child enjoyed every meal. Yes, lots of people was in the restaurant because it is a busy hotel, and had ques but where don’t have ques?! Restaurant staff was really nice. Only sometimes it happened when the plates was stained, but you can change it. Pool area was busy, but clean, water was warm. Everyday had entertraining programs, and some nights also, it was really good. In our room the aircon died for 1 night, we reported to the reception at the next morning, and the aircon has been fixed on that day. Bar was good, entertraning machine for kids, biliard. Only avoid the hotel private parking if you renting a car, the reception said parking for 1week is 120euro, so we parked on the streets next to the hotel. Hotel location is good, couple of mins walking from everything. Everything was okay. If you would like to spend your whole time in a quiet, not busy hotel where has more options for food you can choose some different place. This hotel is a family friendly, busy place with good food.

Visited with family of 7 arrived before 12 pm and was pleasantly surprised to find that rooms were available,found reception staff friendly throughout our holiday, also restaurant staff friendly with plenty of staff to remove used plates found it strange though that you could take drinks bought in bar into restaurant, food okay remember it’s only 3*** had breakfast every day and we like eating out lunch /dinners .pool area very clean with ample subbed /seats. Yes a bit noisy midweek when school trip arrived but hey they’re excited so deal with it. Would happily return hotel was spotless and good location.

Don’t be put off by the negative reviews. Queues, we only had one big queue, waiting for the restaurant to open. Small queue while checking access card. All hotels do this. Nice and clean Staff friendly and helpful. Only complaint. Could do with reviewing the smoking areas. Fridge and safe chargeable.

Hotel lobby lovely think they spent all there budget on the exterior and none in the actual rooms. Rooms outdated desperate need of paint tiny and in need of a decent clean, in the week we stayed not once were they cleaned or even mopped only thing I noticed was toilet roll towels and beds made. Food was bland very repetitive I survived on chips all week. Only change was one night they made depressing looking burgers. Breakfast was slightly better with more options plus a coffee and a orange juice machine, if you have a pool facing room be prepared to listen to the night club every night from 12-4am blasting through keeping you awake.
