PortAventura Hotel Colorado Creek - Includes unlimited access PortAventura Park & 1 Ferrari Land

We had a wonderful surprise during our stay at Hotel Colorado Creek in PortAventura. We arrived expecting a typical Disney-style hotel — crowded and impersonal — but experienced exactly the opposite. From check-in to check-out, every staff member was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and well-maintained. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of high-quality food options. The hotel is also just a short walk from the park, which made getting around incredibly convenient. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and easy access to PortAventura Park.

This was not my first choice hotel, I was moved at the very last minute due to hotel overbooking. Firstly, the hotel is large, crowded and quite noisy. This is expected as it's a family hotel at a theme park and kids make noise. I had booked an upgrade and this was honoured here. I'm sorry they did though because the enhanced rooms are tired and frayed at the edges and the published extras were not in the room. The room was quite large and comfortable but things were peeling at the edges. Breakfast was OK. You book a slot and you have 40 minutes. This is made really clear. The choice of food was quite good and staff were all efficient and friendly. We had a couple of meals and cold drinks at the bar. The staff here were again efficient and friendly. The food was fairly basic but decent. The pool was fairly well maintained and the staff were good. I saw a few people complain because they couldn't follow some basic rules (clearly posted and very reasonable) but the staff were always courteous and polite when requesting rules be followed. There was nothing particularly wrong with the hotel, it just wasn't for me. It is a good choice for families and those who don't mind crowds. It is officially 4 star. I think it's more a solid 3 star realistically and don't bother with the room upgrade, it isn't worth it.

Booked an ai holiday for nine at the el paso through Tui , with less than 12 hours notice we were put in the colorado creek, this appears to be a h/ b hotel and as such paying customers were treated far better. Staff are unfriendly, drinks very limited, no materials available to make cocktails, and at one point people were drinking wine from pint glasses because nothing else was available, as previously mentioned we were expected to drink tap water would definitely not return

What a joke! For a four star hotel the cleanliness of this hotel is disgusting! Please see pictures for reference. Why does a hotel have balconies which guests cannot access at all? Your staff require some serious training! Upon our arrival we asked on numerous occasions where we could get food from to be responded to by staff you need to go to a different hotel. As all inclusive guests we were treated completely different to paying guests. We were given time slots to access the dining room where the food was cold, incorrectly labelled and undesirable. It took over 35 minutes to get a drink with our meal. My partner asked me for Coke Zero on numerous occasions (he is type one diabetic) and was given full sugar Coke 5 times. He would double check with staff that it was Zero sugar coke. Unfortunately on the first occasion he drank it mistakenly and ended up suffering from hyperglycaemia for the rest of the evening. Why did we as all inclusive guests told we would have to purchase bottled water and told that only tap water was available? As guests from the UK we cannot consume tap water as it will make us poorly! Do your chefs know how to cook foods correctly? We went to the “buffet” one evening to see undercooked chicken and pork. My partner also asked for a “Well done steak” and received a “blue steak” (see photos for reference) AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Designed/appointed much like the Disney version of an American lodge (in Colorado), the decor was a little cheesy, but the rooms and common areas were very clean, well maintained and spacious. Hot water, good water pressure, decent wifi, comfy beds, good AC... a good experience all around. Staff were generally helpful and friendly. Pool was clean and well maintained. Lifeguards had some kind of weird rule about not wearing sunglasses in the pool, but hey - your pool your rules. Food was decent. The park is a short 10-ish minute walk away, so very easily accessible. Entrance is included in the room rate. The park itself was packed with very long lines, so be prepared for that - but that's really a comment on the park, not the hotel, right? In short, a lovely experience at a fun little "American" style hotel in the heart of Tarragona.
