Acacias Apartamentos Salou

I didn't have a beachview even though it was advertised as having one. These apartments are not suitable for winter use as they get no sun all day and as a result are extremely cold. Our apartment was damp and very cold on arrival so it took a couple of days to start to feel warm. The temperatures were quite low around 7 °. The radiator in the bathroom didnt work so showering was extremely unpleasant. Our hob in the kitchen also didn't work abd there was no bottle opener. I would say summer lets, great, but definitely not winter.

Clean and spacious room.

Stayed for 2 nights. When you arrive you have to go into Blaumar reception next door, the sister hotel to get your keys. Safety deposit box is 5€ per day at reception. There are pool towels you can get from the pool bar. As we were there for a short time we didn’t get time to spend time at the pool but did go and look and it seemed nice Reception staff friendly and helpful. The apartment is lovely, clean and modern. There is a lift. Cooking facilities are limited and as others have mentioned there is only 1 plug socket by the sink so plugging the kettle in is challenging. Didn’t try the toaster. Beds are really hard and really uncomfortable if that isn’t what you are used to. Would potentially stop me from returning. Some mattress toppers would help with this. The bedrooms have blackout curtains as does the living room. Sofa is comfy and there are spare blankets and a duvet in the cupboard. My biggest complaint is one of the cleaners, who at 8.30am was cleaning the next door balcony and dragging the chairs and table about repeatedly. Very loud and very noisy. No effort to appreciate that people are on holiday and might still be sleeping. Which is the main reason for my star rating. Good bus transport links to Cambrils and Barcelona within a few minutes walk of the apartment. Beach is big and the chiringuita attached to the hotel offers discounts to guests at certain times of the day. Turn right out of the apartment to the House of Illusion, the marina and a few restaurants. Turn left out of the hotel and it’s around a 15 minute walk to the main centre where the biggest concentration of shops, bars and restaurants are. There are also some dotted about in the walk there. If you need to change cash into euros, Palmyra is in the centre although the rate is lower than at home. Try and bring enough with you at a better rate. Sea view from the balcony across the main road. Which is quite busy during the day but you can’t hear much of it in the apartment.

I booked other type appartament.this why i was not happy with this. For appologyes bring to us bottle of wine.. Reception is polite personal. Near beach (very good) And lots reustarant around. Food was good in the breakfast. Animation team is good. Show was every day.
