Hotel Imlauer & Bräu

Very disappointing customer service and communication I am extremely disappointed with the way this hotel handled my lost bracelet. After discovering that I had lost my bracelet, I contacted the hotel via WhatsApp and provided photos and details of the item. At first, I was told that the person I was speaking with could not access housekeeping or the Lost & Found records. However, after I asked them to help check, I was told that my request had been passed to a colleague who would follow up with housekeeping and Lost & Found. A hotel staff member then specifically told me: “We will check the lost and found tomorrow with the housekeeping.” I was also told that I would be informed as soon as there was an update. Unfortunately, more than 24 hours passed and I received absolutely no update or response. I eventually had to contact them again myself to ask about the bracelet. I completely understand that finding a lost item may take some time. What I find unacceptable is the lack of communication after the hotel explicitly promised to check and get back to me. This experience was extremely disappointing and made me feel that my request was not taken seriously. The efficiency of handling the matter and the communication with guests need significant improvement. I hope the hotel will take this feedback seriously and improve its customer service, especially when dealing with guests’ lost belongings.

Great location between train station and the old town. Clean room and good breakfast. Book it.

Hotel location was very good, walkable distance from Salzburg train station. Surrounding has a lot of food options. Hotel room was big and clean, very comfortable stay. Love the staff and they were very friendly and helpful for advices to get around Salzburg. Hotel provided a guest mobility pass and allowed for public transport travel within Salzburg for free. Hotel was environmentally friendly, offered a 5€ voucher if we skipped housekeeping for a day.

I made a reservation and I always check that the room has a shower because I have back problems. The room I was assigned has a bathtub. I pointed this out to the staff, specifying that it is a health issue, and they told me that they had no other rooms available, even though online it shows that other rooms are available. I find this unacceptable as an attitude, especially considering the medical aspect. I am traveling alone and it makes little difference to me which room I get, and I was even supposed to have a single room and not a double, but I booked with the certainty of having a normal shower.

Great location, room are new and clean

Within walking distance to the hbf. We booked family room, the space is big enough for the family. Variety of breakfast. Also you could walk to mirabell palace from the hotel. 20€ fee for parking per day.
