Hotel Astoria

Not bad for a 3-star hotel, the location is close to the center, the breakfast was varied. The only thing is that the rooms were not cleaned, there was dust on the floor and on the glassed-in balcony and the glass was dirty.

Everything was perfect. They even arranged a late check-in for us without any problems. The breakfast selection was excellent. Highly recommended.

The hotel breakfast is simple and repetitive, but the food is clean and the staff keeps the environment tidy at all times. There are tea bags available on the first floor until 10 PM. You can buy a Salzburg Card at the counter; it's refundable if you don't use it. The hotel has parking, but there are plenty of street parking spaces nearby, so there's no need to pay for the hotel's. However, please be aware of parking time restrictions.

The hotel is showing its age. The first room, with a balcony, was small and not properly cleaned. There were ants in the shower and black hairs in the bed. The lady showed me the second room without any fuss; it was larger, but didn't have a balcony. Again, the bedside tables were sticky, and the room was very noisy from the street. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel. Sorry. Tuma

Overall, the facilities were good, but there was only one elevator, so it seemed a bit lacking for the size of the place. The bathroom looked a bit outdated.

Unfortunately no air conditioning while it was 30 degrees.   There was a blower in the room but it couldn't really combat the heat. Small room and bathroom with limited space for your belongings, but clean. There is a lift... but it stops on the mezzanine so you still have to lug your suitcase up/down the stairs. Location was good to get to the centre of Salzburg, even possible on foot.   They do their best to provide a parking space. Friendly guy at the reception... BUT I don't like being welcomed as a guest with loud gangsta music in the background and I don't want to hear it in my room.   I can't say anything about the food, we didn't have breakfast there. Nice detail: hanging chair/hammock on the balcony, USB plugs by the beds and nice lighting around the bed. Ok for a short stay but not for longer, certainly not at higher temperatures.
