"We stayed at Hotel Golgasse in Salzburg in May 2025. If I could give this hotel a six star rating, I would. Firstly, the lady who runs the hotel is an absolute delight. Her name is Ulrike. She shows a genuine warmth and care for her guest. A check in process with Ulrike which is unrivalled anywhere we have been in the world. Welcome drinks, and a warm towel upon arrival. The rooms are beautiful and decorated with modern fixtures. Shower and bathroom very clean and soaps and shampoos are of a very high quality. The rooms smell amazing and when you return after a busy day sightseeing, it is so nice to come home to a nice smelling and serviced room. Beds comfortable. Hotel located in the old part of town and in close walking distance to the major attractions. This hotel comes with my highest of recommendations."

"The wonderful staff and service are worthy of a five-star hotel, and the luxurious, spacious, and easy-to-use rooms and facilities are such that it even had a washlet, which is rare in Europe. The reception, night staff, and restaurant staff all shared information with each other, which made for a fantastic stay and we are very grateful for that. On our last day, we didn't have time for breakfast, but a wonderful female staff member prepared a full breakfast for us in a pack, which was very moving. Thank you very much."

"Before the trip, I asked Ctrip's customer service to confirm all my overseas orders. Because we were traveling with children, many rooms had sofa beds. The customer service said that as long as there was a confirmation number, there would be no problem. In fact, there were still problems. For example, the front desk said that you only booked a room for one person. I showed the confirmation letter showing two adults and one child. It took a long time for them to reluctantly agree to help us make the sofa bed. If you confirm it in advance, you can save a lot of trouble. The hotel itself has a history of hundreds of years. It has been renovated in an old house. It has a European palace grandma style. The suite is spacious and has an automatic toilet seat, which is rare in Europe. The bedding and linens are quite comfortable, but it is difficult to carry too much luggage upstairs. The interior is winding. The supplies are bredo, which smells good. The breakfast is not rich, dry white rice, and freshly squeezed orange juice is delicious. The service is relatively nice in Austria, and English communication is no problem."

"This is a really lovely guesthouse. A very warm welcome, a lovely comfortable room with good shower room. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the pretty gardens and outdoor pool. Unfortunately for us it rained very hard for our entire stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the balcony as we should have, but it would certainly have been a real bonus in normal weather. Delicious breakfast and well situated for the bus into Salzburg. A bar, but no evening dinner available. A couple of restaurants within walking distance…..we went to one recommended which was close by (5 minute walk), very good local food…….I can’t remember the name, you’d have to ask, but I do remember you need to pay cash (which was quite the norm at a lot of places in Salzburg, and in Berchtesgaden (where we visited next)). If we return to Salzburg, I would definitely stay here again."

"Had a wonderful time in Salzburg and it was toped by our stay at Romantik Hotel Die Gersberg Alm. We went in Nov. 2022 (Can't write it for the correct year) for our honeymoon and we were upgraded to a wonderful suit which meant the world to us! Room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. We also got to dine in their restaurant for breakfast most days and dinner once, all amazing food."

"The room size is medium, and the single bed isn't very big, but the bathroom is quite spacious with a bathtub and a separate shower/toilet area. The bed and pillows are comfortable, and the soundproofing is excellent, making it very quiet. There's an elevator and windows that can be opened. They provide complimentary apples, drinking water, sparkling water, and a kettle. It's very close to the train and bus stations, and there are three supermarkets nearby."

"Aircon is malfunctioning and hiding this fact to the customers until we ask. Room is extra hot compared to to other room and didn’t provide solution and rejected to help to change room. When request for fans, mentioned all gave up but after further request able to give one. However, the given one is not even assembled and request us to assemble ourselves! Terrible! Corridors windows are open with many spiders there. We felt disgusted and scary as room right beside window. Request front desk to help but no action taken at all. Never update on aircon status as well even after repaired and it spoiled again after so call “repaired”. Coffee serving is ridiculous as well where it only serve from 12-8. Overall worst hotel I had ever stayed and will never come back again!"
