I stayed for two nights. The location is undeniably excellent for sightseeing, but not being able to access it directly by car might be a challenge if you have a lot of luggage (and the hotel only has stairs). The room was spacious and comfortable, but the Wi-Fi was weak, and the hallway was dim and a bit creepy, so I'm rating the location and facilities a 3.

I stayed for two nights in Samarkand. The location is excellent, situated between Registan Square and the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, with all the main attractions within walking distance. My private guide gave me some tips: * The 'eco-bus' running on the street directly in front of the hotel allows hop-on/hop-off (just tell the driver, of course). * When arranging a car, it's better to pick it up or be dropped off on the street behind the hotel (Hotel Old Street) rather than in front (my guide actually uses this method). * Walk left from the street in front of the hotel -> enter through the open door to the right of store 208 -> pin Hamida Hotel for easier car pick-up (pinning Aziz Hotel, which is before it, makes it difficult for cars to turn around – I’ve attached an image). Indeed, on my arrival day, even knowing cars couldn't enter directly in front, I pinned Sanzoor. The driver that day tried to access the back of the hotel, and as a result, I ended up getting off even further ahead than Old Street at the back. The road leading there was very narrow and congested, making me feel like we might collide, so I ruled it out for my departure. The room was bright and charming, and the bed size was appropriate for the room, making it a comfortable space. Since I had an early departure, they prepared a breakfast box for me. All the staff were kind. The young person during check-out looked very sleepy, and as a fellow hotelier, I wondered about that, but their charm made it acceptable – it's not a 5-star hotel, after all. I saw many Japanese tourists, both groups and individuals. At a nearby restaurant (the street dining place), all three groups who came in after me were Japanese, and I even saw the same people at breakfast the next morning. I reconfirmed that this hotel is in a safe area. I would like to stay here again when I visit Samarkand.

The location was incredibly convenient, within walking distance to all the main tourist spots. The front desk staff spoke English, so communication was not an issue at all.

I stayed for 3 nights for sightseeing in Samarkand. The hotel was generally clean, and the room was comfortable, allowing me to relax. The staff were also kind and helpful, and I didn't experience any inconvenience during my stay. It has a calm atmosphere, making it a good hotel to rest in after sightseeing. It was also easy to access Samarkand's main tourist attractions, making it a convenient base for exploring. Overall, it was a highly satisfying stay, including the price.

My room unfortunately smelled like sewage. As others have mentioned, calling a taxi can be difficult. Even when I set the destination to the closest alley to the hotel, two different cars couldn't get there and dropped me off elsewhere. However, the location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere. I used it as a base, returning often for breaks while sightseeing.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff was very kind. The location is excellent. It is only a 2–3 minute walk from Bibi-Khanym Mosque, and Registan Square is also within walking distance, making it a very convenient base for exploring Samarkand. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was clean and comfortable. There were a couple of minor issues. There was a slight smell coming from the bathroom, but it was not really a problem as long as the bathroom door was kept closed. Also, it took a little while for the hot water to come through. That said, these were minor inconveniences, and overall I was very satisfied with my stay. Considering the excellent location and overall quality, I would happily recommend this hotel to other travelers visiting Samarkand.

A luxurious hotel! Very convenient location, about a 10-minute walk to Registan. The hotel itself is on a pedestrian street, so taxis can't pull right up to the entrance. Good, spacious rooms and a delicious breakfast. The room had air conditioning, a TV, a refrigerator, a tea set, toiletries, and bottled water was brought daily. I would definitely return to this hotel, as it's a perfect option. Highly recommend!

The hotel is within walking distance of the main tourist attractions. The building has a historic feel, and while there are some older parts, it seems very well-maintained and clean. I think it's a great hotel.

Cleanliness: Although the hotel is a bit old, it's incredibly clean and well-maintained. There were no strange odors inside, which shows their excellent housekeeping and odor control. The lobby always had a faint fruity scent, and our room was spotless. Facilities: The hotel breakfast was fantastic! Besides standard items like coffee, tea, milk, juice, and eggs, they offered a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and local pastries every day. For tourists who spend their days exploring, such a high-quality breakfast is essential. The complimentary bottled water in the room daily was also very practical! Service: All hotel staff spoke fluent English and Russian, so communication was never an issue. They were polite, friendly, and always willing to help. We needed to book an English-speaking tour guide for the next day; after explaining it to the front desk, they immediately helped us contact someone and quickly finalized the booking. The day after our tour, upon returning to the hotel, the staff even followed up to ask if we were satisfied with the experience, showing truly excellent service. Environment: The hotel's location is superb, situated within a pedestrian street, making it very safe. Most major attractions are just a 10-minute walk away. There are many guesthouses and shops nearby, and a square not far off where many locals stroll and walk their children after the sunset cools down, making for a very pleasant evening walk. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our experience at the Sangzor Hotel and highly recommend it to other visitors coming to Samarkand!

I had to leave early twice and missed breakfast, so the hotel kindly prepared lunchboxes for me. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent; I could walk to all the tourist attractions.

Excellent location. That alone makes up for everything else, even the not-so-friendly front desk staff and the simple breakfast. We'll be back!

The hotel staff were all very helpful. Most of the tourist attractions are within walking distance, so the location is excellent and stress-free.
