Kampos Village Resort

Location of the hotel is quite good. The roundabouts green. It is a family oriented place. Standard room is the worst you can experience, it looks like a cave or bad quality students room. The bathroom with no ventilation (apart from small window facing the staircase) so everyone can see you. Air-conditioning working only +/- temperature - non other function available. The toilet is leaking. The equipment is like 15 years old. The mattress and the bed won't let you sleep; it is like the stone and the bed is squeaking so you are waking up back and forth. The food is monotonous, every day the same; thanks God they had French fries. The food was cold very quickly as it was not heated. Usually I leave the tip for the cleaning staff on the bed and strangely enough the money was gone but the room not cleaned. Besides that, I wanted to change the room for additional fee but lady at the reception rejected my request saying there are no rooms while another lady exchanged her room without a problem. I did not expect 5* hotel but this is not the 3* at all.

A very good quality 3 star hotel! After reading so many bad reviews I was worried about coming here. We were pleasantly surprised, staff are amazing ing, food is absolutely fine. We had breakfast and lunch- ate out for dinner most nights. Greek bbq at hotel was lovely. Only downside is the alcohol- bad wine and limited spirits. But at the price you can pop to the supermarket and buy your own. We have had a wonderful stay.

We stayed at Kampos Village Resort at the end of July as two families travelling together. We had requested that our four rooms be located close to each other, and the hotel accommodated this perfectly by placing us all in the same block on the same floor. The rooms were simple but clean and spacious. Of the four double beds, only one was a little uncomfortable. The balconies were a great size, and some had lovely views of the pool and sea. The resort itself was well maintained, with a beautiful and authentic Greek feel. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. As others have mentioned, the food and drink selection was fairly basic. In our experience, this is quite typical of Greek all-inclusive resorts, but we did sometimes struggle to find options that suited our picky-eating son. That said, the Greek Night was excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the fresh tzatziki and Greek salad available each evening. The beach directly across the road was very good, and we rented comfortable sunbeds from a nearby beach bar for just €8 per set of two. We also hired cars for two days at very reasonable prices, which made it easy to explore the island. There are lots of very nice bars, restaurants, and shops along the main road. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and found Kampos Village Resort to be a friendly, well-kept base for a relaxing family holiday.

Lovely staff from receptionists to cleaners, clean but very basic rooms with no shampoo etc, no tea making facilities just a fridge. Food not great for vegetarians, one night the vegetable rice contained sausage from the lunch buffet, potatoes and pasta with frozen vegetables was what I ate most nights and lots of flies in restaurant area around the salads and the deserts. We were all inclusive but had to buy drinks every night because ouzo and brandy were the only spirits on the all inclusive list and the wine was very poor. Would we go again, probably not, the sea was beautifully clear but very cold and all the beaches we visited were pebbled.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The whole resort is spotless inside and out and all the staff worked very hard to make our holiday relaxed and chilled. The room was a good size with a large fridge, hairdryer and modern shower/ bathroom. Bring a kettle for your room as this is not provided. The location is five star practically 50 metres from the nearest beach, 5 euros for two loungers, a small table and an umbrella. It was very hot so I would recommend this as there is not a lot of natural shade. Bring beach shoes as most of the beaches have pebbles and rocks. The all inclusive food caters for European taste, although as a fussy vegetarian I could always find fresh salad, cheese and fruit but it was a bit limited and I feel the food could be labeled better rather than having to ask the kitchen staff. The small town has a supermarket that caters for every eventuality. Some nice shops and restaurants only a short walk away along the sea front. Motor bike and car hire literally around the corner, a fair price and again very helpful. The only downside was the bed that was not the most comfortable. If this was sorted out it would definitely be a 5star review. All in all a fab holiday.

We went on a all inclusive holiday package with TUI to Samos island located in the North Aegean. We stayed a week at this hotel and enjoyed the place and also many of the local restaurants and beach bars. We found the hotel old but well maintained and the staff were friendly and very helpful. It’s located an hour or so from the airport or main ferry terminal. We had transfers included so no problem there but you will need to rent a car if you want to investigate the island and there many places to rent cars or mopeds located nearby. Kampos is a very chill place and is great for couples and families and there’s no night clubs. I was disappointed that I had to rent the room safe key rather a bond for its return. Also they don’t supply shampoo or conditioners or body wash just toilet paper and a couple of small soaps. Minor issues I know but they are worth noting for future travellers.

Lovely quiet relaxing hotel. We had a lovely week away as a couple at the end of May. The hotel staff are really friendly and polite. Nic in the dining room was so helpful and always greeted us with a chat and a big smile. The food is lovely homecooked food, not loads of choice as in other AI hotels but definitely enough for what you need. The bar staff was also polite and friendly. The hotel and rooms are so clean and tidy. We would definitely recommend this hotel for couples but we didn't see many families but lovely children's pool and park and maybe in high season more entertainment for kids. There was no entertainment in the evenings but we didn't mind as we went to chill and relax and that's definitely what we did.

The hotel is spread around in several buildings over 2-3 floors in three areas, all with a swimmingpool. We got a spartan family -room with a small attic. The room was nice with partial seaview from the balcony, but very hard beds… We had AI and the buffé meals was great, everything well prepared. The wine was drinkable and there was a very limited barmenu, if you wanted something outside the included barmenu, you had to pay for it. Ouzo was included so was a nice greek brandy😎
