Great location next to a lovely winery and not far from Charlottesville. Nice property with some restoration and expansion planned. Very clean room, comfortable bed. Had to turn the somewhat noisy window air conditioner off during the night, but it did get the temperature down. Excellent innkeepers Gracie Walton and Joe, the chef, who provided a cooking demonstration for breakfast. Very, very good food! If we are in the area, we'll definitely go back and will recommend to friends and family.

We spent one night here mid week. The Roosevelt suite upstairs was wonderful. The AC window unit sufficiently cooled the room and provided white noise. Spacious, clean with well stocked nespresso coffee. It was very quite when we visited. Joe showed us around and also prepared a wonderful breakfast the following morning. Great communication by Matt prior to our arrival with specific clear information and timing on checking in early. We enjoyed some wine on the balcony purchased from the next door PippinHill Winery. You are off the road so not without some traffic noise. Lovely place that we will visit again.

We visited the Crossroads Inn on our honeymoon and loved it! The stay was a very unique experience. We participated in Chef Joe's breakfast cooking demonstration which was informative and delicious. We also got to feed chickens and enjoy the sunset on the beautiful property. Overall, it was a great stay, and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this historic inn. While our room was somewhat small (by current standards) it was very comfortable and there are much larger rooms and suites available here. The staff (Matt and Gracie) were very friendly and always helpful, and we had an exceptional experience with Chef Joe - while he conducted morning cooking classes! The food was absolutely fantastic, and Joe is an amazing resource in addition to being very personable and customer-oriented. The inn currently has several ongoing improvement projects which will make it even more enjoyable for guests in the months ahead. We found this location to be very central for non-winery excursions as well as an abundance of local winery options (including adjacent Pippin Hill). If you are looking for a place to relax, it's hard to beat the rocking chairs on the covered porch.

We stayed here for the weekend and lucked out with beautiful weather. The Roosevelt suite was very nice with a comfortable bed and sitting room, which we didn’t really use because we made use of the rocking chairs on the porch instead. The inn was conveniently located next to Pippin Hill winery and we had lunch on the back porch there. Highly recommend getting reservations for that! The best part of the inn was their amazing breakfasts though. We’ll return for that alone!

One of our go to places now. Local and yet remote. Quiet and peaceful and the staff treat you like family. Great Symbiotic relationship with the winery next door so we go for lunch there and look over the valley. We like the middle of the week since it is not so crowded. Only negative is that it is popular with UVA crowd so avoid university functions like Parents Day, Graduation, and of course football games

We received a friendly welcome with details of the extensive history of the property. Our room was on the small side by US standards but it is an 1820 building so that’s fine. The whole place is tastefully decorated and embraces its wonderful history. The location next door to Pippin Hill Vineyard is great if you fancy a wine tasting. Breakfast was excellent with freshly cooked food, and friendly service. We appreciated the offer of a carry out option on the first day as we had an early tour at nearby Monticello.

A real gem. The building has been run as an inn since the 1820s! My wife and I both love history, so we both loved the inn. The old wooden floors are amazing, the building is incredibly well preserved, and yet it did not feel dated at all. The grounds are beautiful and offer some amazing views of the surrounding countryside, and Pippin Hill is within walking distance. Rustic and cozy, my wife and I were hoping for a quiet and relaxing trip, and the Crossroads more than delivered. Joe and Matt both went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, and offered some great advice on restaurants and sightseeing in the area. The bed was quite comfortable, the shower was nice and hot and had great water pressure, and the breakfast was delicious. This was our first trip to Charlottesville, and we loved every minute. We can't wait to come back!
