The “Pool View Suite” had no view of the Pool. No way are they of 4 Star Standard either. Lots of Cracked tiles and very shoddy and aged.. Food was very good and plentiful.. The staff extremely friendly, but at €300 a night, we felt very cheated with everything about Room 812 that was deemed a “Pool View and Garden View Suite”!! Besides zero view of the Pool, it was of very aged decor and in urgent need of modernisation.. Not to  mention the Gardeners making noise with machinery from around 4am In the morning.. Would not return

We are from UK, both aged 59 and are a couple. We visited the Bull Costa Canaria for 7 nights on an all inclusive basis from 27th November 2025. Jet2 Flights, Airport and transfers all fine. On arrival of the hotel we were welcomed by lovely friendly reception staff who continued to be helpful and happy to checkout. Room was 210 which was fine. The TV has channel 34 BBC Worldwide News and 48 Sky News. These only 2 channels had English language. Safe you had to pay for. Cleaning good and at different times of day. Very good hot water rainfall shower. Balcony small but adequate. Beds were two singles pushed together and one mattress sunk in centre but adequate. The food was very samey and boring choices with no British sausages or apple juice provided at breakfast. We had 6 different wobbly tables at different times, where our German neighbours found very unacceptable putting a folded tissue under the corner to help stableise. In mentioning the 90+ ° Germans, which we found to be the most rudest we have ever met. Yes, a few were OK, but the looks we received and so rude to staff. At evening drinks, forget table service if you are British. Just go straight to the bar and wait. If you are the only person at the bar waiting for bar staff to serve the seated Germans and a German arrives the MEN will always bank you and serve them. All the LADIES serving are excellent and serve in turn, but the male waitors should be ashamed of themselves, blanking you unless you are there. The evening entertainment is awful acts with a few singers are OK in my opinion. The huge pillars throughout the music area spoil 50° of any view and unless you are there very early, no chance of a view, so most just sat on terrace. The drinks were excellent and branded and good measures with named brands. Cocktails were all pre-mixed and fine. Coffee excellent. The Spa was the best part of the hotel, just a shame the additional service ladies spoke no English. Outside swimming pool, half cold and half heated, just about could swim but you got used to temperature. The Don Pepe pizza was excellent. The food at lunch was not for us and we have visited much better lunch time snack bars. The new coffee house is lovely. All in all we will not be returning just because too many German clientele. We love a mixed range of nationalities, but in our opinion we very much felt looked at BUT on a final conclusion the female restaurant staff were amazing, lovely and had good chats with.

Location - almost direct access to a clean spacious beach and with a bus stop outside the front where you can get to pretty much anywhere at a very low price. Not a lot in the immediate vicinity. Service - all staff are super friendly and obliging. A small tip every now and again goes a long way. Clientele - if you’re British, and looking to chat with people forget it. This hotel is 95% German. We are here in November/December and the age range is over 70 mostly but we knew this when we booked it. Facilities - reasonable tennis court Astroturf, but bring your own rackets if you’re a serious player. There’s a ping-pong table, but it’s very windy so pretty much unusable. French boule available, shuffleboard and a very good gym. The spa is also really nice with a brilliant big spa pool with lots of different jets. There is a sauna with with a cold plunge pool, a steam room and a saltwater dark room pool. Organised activities - random is all I can say. They do different things at different times every day so you never know what is going on. It would be good if they did boules every day but no, it’s like twice a week. And when it’s too windy for ping-pong, they don’t change it to something that it isn’t too windy for they just don’t do anything. Quite disappointed with the daytime activities actually. Food - once again, very catered for the Germans but we don’t mind that. I am craving some spicy food it’s all quite bland. They don’t have a chilli in the place. I asked if they could make pasta spicy but no, the only thing we have is Tabasco. The lunchtime a La carte restaurant is lovely. We have eaten there every day. The coffee bar is also a nice addition. Drinks - you can’t get a drink in a glass until 6 pm. Until then, the only place to get a drink is at the pool bar and it’s all plastic regardless of whether you’re by the pool or at a table. Quite disappointing for an expensive hotel. In the evening, I asked for a gin and tonic in a specific glass and the waitress said that was a cocktail glass and I had to have my gin and tonic in a tall glass! I just fancied it in a nice crystal glass, but I wasn’t allowed! The wine is okay spirits are the usual. My husband likes the zero alcohol beer. The only drink you can get in the restaurant that is low calorie is Coke. Why? Please provide zero sugar soft drinks such as tonic, they are available. Tips. Bring chilli flakes!

We have just returned from an 8 night holiday here. We couldn't fault the hotel, it was really lovely from the moment we arrived. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We chose an upper level room with sea view and had room 626. This was superb. The view was great with a large balcony and the room was a really good size with all the amenities you needed. The bed was very comfortable and huge. Plenty of hanging space, drawers, mirrors etc. Bottle of water replenished daily was a nice touch. My only criticism would be that it would be nice to have some shampoo and conditioner supplied rather than an all in one shower gel dispenser. Our room was kept beautifully clean throughout, and the hotel and grounds in general were immaculate and very pretty. We loved the pool area (the sunbed system works really well), plus the spa was a huge bonus as this was included. We stayed on an all inclusive basis and found this very good. We travelled with two other family members and could have bottles of wine at dinner included. The restaurant buffet was plentiful and good quality, the pool snack bar was a lovely addition if you wanted a more relaxed lunch and the pizzas (according to my husband) were delicious. The new coffee club area is also lovely. It was nice to be able to walk out of the rear of the hotel and be right on the beach and to be able to walk along the prom. Also, out the front there is a supermarket, pharmacy etc. The bus outside is easy to catch and very cheap too. We also hired a car for the day to see some more of the island and I would definitely recommend this. We really loved this hotel and had a fantastic holiday.

I arrived at this fine hotel ready to find fault but the place made it surprisingly difficult. For one thing, it’s set in a genuinely beautiful spot, and San Agustín itself isn’t overcrowded, which meant I couldn’t even complain about noisy tourists clogging up the place. The staff were another obstacle to my grumbling: consistently friendly, efficient, and helpful without hovering. Quite impressive. My room was spacious and quiet, with a garden view stretching right out to the sea. That kind of peaceful scenery in the morning doesn’t do much for one’s ability to stay grumpy. The buffet blindsided me next. I’d arrived ready to roll my eyes at a few trays of the usual stuff, only to find an irresistible buffet spread — fresh, flavourful, and clearly put together by people who care about food. I tried not to go back for seconds. I failed. Access to the ocean was far too easy, and the promenade walk far too relaxing. I even caught myself enjoying the atmosphere, which was deeply inconvenient. The SPA was another offender: spotless, calm, and far better than I’d expected. Even the practical things refused to give me decent material for complaints. A bus stop close by, a supermarket within walking distance — all very useful, and therefore very annoying for someone seeking flaws. All in all, this beautiful place and its quietly charming corner of San Agustín wore me down. Despite my best efforts, I left far more content than I’d intended. And yes… I’m already thinking about coming back next year.

Visited late Oct/early Nov as a special holiday for my big birthday. Oh my goodness - it was FABULOUS. Hotel was superb. Completely surpassed all expectations. Often, photos are taken from a good angle and the real place never looks as good. In actual fact, Costa Canaria was just as good as the photos, if not better. I have never enjoyed a holiday as much as this one and will definitely be back. Lots of other guests return year on year, which is a good sign. Hotel looks and smells beautiful from the moment you enter. Cleaned daily, staff working hard all the time. Little library and computer room at the side of reception hall. Reception staff were helpful and pleasant. Food was available even though we arrived late evening and it was past the official dinner time. Room was lovely - spacious, well equipped, clean and tidy. Safe optional, extra charge. Air con included. Kettle and some tea/coffee and water provided in rooms. Paid extra for a sea view. We were on level 3 and it was a lovely view. A bit of noise at night - I think from a neighbouring hotel? - but usually finished around 11pm and I can sleep through most things anyway. Hired an iron, €20 refundable charge. Rooms cleaned daily. Bathroom good, toiletries provided. The only negative thing was the odd position of a towel rail immediately in front of the sink, made reaching the sink and getting in/out of the bath a bit awkward, but we managed. We stayed half board. Food was fantastic. Such a variety! If you want to sit outside, queue up outside and the waiters will find you the next available table. Bit of a wait sometimes, just because there were more people than tables outside, but plenty of room inside. Sometimes at dinner a harpist or violinist would play in the background. Gentlemen have to wear long trousers in the evenings, no beach wear. People have complained about this on here, but we didn't mind - it's no big deal is it?! There are two sittings for dinner so it doesn't get too crowded, you'll be allocated either first or second when you check in. We were second, which was 7.30-9pm. Drinks such as water and tea/coffee were included on half board, which suited me perfectly. Could order and pay for other drinks if needed. Just check they charge you for the right amount - they charged for 2 glasses of wine when it was only my husband who ordered one (I don't drink wine). Easily rectified when we asked. Had such a big breakfast and dinner we didn't need lunch, so didn't use the pizza place and restaurant, but they looked popular. Water available from the bar throughout the day free on the half board tariff. The sunbeds idea is GENIUS. Last thing you want on a relaxing holiday is a sunbed race. Having your tags at the start of the week and reserving your sunbed takes the stress out of it. Just make sure you choose wisely at the start and get a good spot. We chose the garden as it was quieter than round the pool (but the pool was much calmer than anywhere else I've been, as except

If you like sociable daytime activities, quality evening entertainment with great shows and the opportunity for dancing most evenings, if you like good food, friendly and helpful staff, and a lovely indoor spa at no extra cost, then this is the hotel for you (but don't tell anyone else!) We have been coming to this hotel for a number of years (along with many other returners, which in itself is an indicator of a great hotel) and are very happy to continue doing so into the foreseeable future. There will always be reviews from unhappy people who grumble about having to wear long trousers for dinner etc etc, or the sun lounger system which though not seen anywhere else that we've stayed, really saves the hassle of scrambling for new ones every morning of your stay. We have tried other hotels in the past, and researched countless others, but this is the only one which ticks all our boxes.

First impressions were great. Lovely, clean hotel which smells divine on entry. Beautiful grounds and gorgeous pool. You are given a tag to put on a sunbed which is then yours for the week - strange, but seems to work. However, this hotel’s policies are very outdated and I would go as far as to say discriminating. It’s slightly irritating to keep being “told off” First for not showering before entering the pool, then for having a coffee round the pool ;which was removed as it wasn’t in a plastic cup - I wasn’t offered a plastic cup, However the most upsetting part for me was being turned away from the buffet restaurant because the men in the group were wearing tailored shorts (with shirts and looked very smart)! We were told there was a ‘no shorts’ for men policy in the evening. We were not told about this on arrival neither were we informed by the travel company. Women, myself included were wearing shorts (denim/bum cheeks out/scruffy) etc and were allowed to come and go as they pleased! The first night we saw two men in shorts who were clearly not challenged. I feel this is outdated and left a very bad taste in my mouth. I will not be staying here again.
