This hillside single-story home overlooks the Pinnacles National Park and surrounding ranch land. It's close to the Bay Area but feels remote & worlds apart. Come experience rural and wild California in a comfortable home. I'm an experienced host on Airbnb but new to VRBO. You can see my listing and reviews here: www.pinnaclesranch.comThe house includes:- Large kitchen- Large dining table- Open floor plan between kitchen, dining room and living area- Bedroom #1 with 1 queen bed- Bedroom #2 with 2 twin beds- Living area with 2 couches that can be converted to futon beds- Bathroom with combination shower and bathtub- Outside, there is a large patio with propane BBQ, bar area and outdoor furnitureGuest access:The house is set on a 200 acre ranch, and guests are welcome to take walks around the property. Guests are locked out from private areas and do not have access to the garage, mudroom and owner's bedroom.Other things to note:The home is near the Pinnacles National Park (just 2 miles from the east side entrance) but very remote from other services, which is part of what makes the area so special. It's so close to the bay area and yet feels worlds apart. Pinnacles Ranch is a place to unplug and explore the wilderness of the national park or the rural lifestyle of surrounding ranches. The nearest store, restaurant or gas station is about 30 miles away so guests should plan ahead and bring the things they will need during their stay (e.g., food, cooking supplies, toiletries, etc.). The Ranch House is a luxury delight, in a farm atmosphere. The view of the surrounding mountains are breathtaking and you cans see every star in the sky at night. Enjoy cooking in a well equipped kitchen or take a long bath in the claw foot tub while taking in the view of the serene landscape. Don't mind if the goats stop by for a visit while you enjoy drinking coffee or tea on the front porch. The Ranch House is a beautiful and comfortable escape to the charm and serenity of the country. Just a mile from our working dairy farm which offers a unique opportunity to see where the best milk and dairy products are made. is our working dairy farm, guests will be able to observe cows and goats being milked. This happens twice a day. You will also be able to see our calves being fed twice a day. Feeding of the cows happens at various times during the week and you may just be able to see that too depending on the length of your stay. Baby cows graze there too. The farm house enjoys some of the best sunshine in California, best night sky, mountain views, sunrises and sunsets. Relax, commune with the animals, birdwatch, hike, or whatever.Other unique places close by include a working horse ranch, an historic hot springs, a vegetable farm, a new solar project, and a saloon style bar. There are hills for hiking and rock hounding. The town of Tres Pinos is 45 minutes away with great restaurants, wineries and services. The Pinnacles National Park is an hour and fifteen minutes away. That is the east side access of Pinnacles. It is an extraordinary place to spend the day!The natural aspects of this location are HUGE. This is a very diverse geological and biological area, there is world class birding, there are wildlife to observe, the night sky is fantastic and the climate is great. The wildflowers in the Springtime of a good year (like this) are incomparable.About pets:Pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 3:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.
"One of the best hotel stays I’ve had. The room’s floor size was more than decent but the high ceilings made it feel more spacious and upscale.
On top of that, I applaud the staff for the cleanliness of everything from the desk, rug / floor, the whole bathroom, and the sheets,, pillows, and tv remote. This coming from a lightweight germaphobe.
The tv is a big nice new flat screen but my only input of improvement is that you can’t or I couldn’t figure it out how to stream or mirror from my phone.
The breakfast buffet variety was such a delight. It’s was hot and fresh and gives the perfect fuel before heading out - in my case before going on a hike at pinnacles natl park which is a reward coming back to, to take a hot shower and sleep on the comfy king size bed.
This stay made me a huge fan of the holiday inn hotels.
Special shout out to the front desk and breakfast crew for the quick check-in, excellent service and being very friendly and helpful.
Also the indoor pool was nice and warm and clean and they had 2 beach balls to play with."

"It was a decent stay for one night. Everything went smoothly. We also had free breakfast in the morning, although options were very limited but better than nothing. So, our room was clean but upon packing our stuff up to leave we spotted 2 cockroaches which is why we gave cleanliness a 1. But overall, good enough."
