There is a covered parking lot available along with an uncovered parking lot. There are less covered spots available than uncovered spots. Also, there are two charging stations available. The staff was friendly, professional, and assisted with all matters very well. There are two elevators available that go all the 6th floor. The amenities were sufficient enough to make for a comfortable and relaxing experience. The room I stayed in was large with a kitchenette, pullout couch, and large bathroom. There were some minor issues like a bent ironing board, hair in the bathroom, and noise disturbance from the room above, but all was manageable. The location is right outside of two gates that access Camp Pendleton. Also, it is within walking distance from some good restaurants and the beach. I hope that this review is helpful with your lodging decision.

I stayed with two friends for a vaca from home. We stayed 3 nights. It was a blast. Such nice hotel staff. Our fav time was happy hour with great cocktails and food. We went every night. Tired different drinks and food each night. Our bartender Sharu was amazing and she makes the best Mai Tai’s. The bar staff was excellent along with its servers. We literally stayed for hours by the fire pits outdoors in the nice cool air. We were treated so well. Even by the breakfast staff. Front desk too! It was a real nice ambiance in the evenings by fire pits. They have a nice indoor pool and out door jacuzzi. Breakfast made to order was great. Hotel rooms were nice and comfy and big and clean. Hotel was beautiful and the koi fish are such a nice touch to the place. It’s peaceful and comfiness here. I’ll be back. We will definitely come back for our happy hour beautiful experience. We were a party of 32 people who booked this hotel to attend a wedding in San Diego, from UK and Canada for 1 week On day 1 of our holiday Upon arriving in our room, we all found that the shower water was only tepid, which was quite uncomfortable. I immediately contacted the front desk to report the issue and was informed that maintenance advised this could not be increased due to concerns about scalding However, 2 days later, the water temperature in the shower was noticeably warmer and reached a comfortable level. This suggests that the initial explanation provided by the maintenance staff was either incorrect or misleading. The inconsistent and lukewarm response to my complaint is unacceptable, especially when the issue could have been resolved promptly on the first day of my stay. The towels left bits of fluff on our skin and clothes after use, which was both uncomfortable and unhygienic and resulted in us purchasing a garment brush to clean our clothes. Such a condition is unacceptable. The rooms were oddly designed, the sink facilities were situated outside of the toilet and shower room, positioned within the actual bedroom area. This layout struck me as quite unusual and, frankly, unhygienic. It is standard practice and generally expected that after using the toilet, one should be able to wash their hands immediately within the same room. The current setup requires guests to exit the toilet room and walk through the bedroom to access the sink, which raises significant hygiene concerns. During our stay, my family and I spent a significant amount of time in the poolside area. We were surprised and quite inconvenienced to find that there were no restroom facilities available in this area. This lack of basic amenities was particularly challenging as we were traveling with young children who frequently needed to use the toilet. Having to return to our rooms or use the restroom in the reception area was not only inconvenient but also disrupted our leisure time. This situation caused unnecessary stress and discomfort, I believe that adding restrooms near the poolside area would greatly enhance the convenience and comfort for all guests, particularly those with young children. Such an improvement would undoubtedly be appreciated by many future visitors. Furthermore, upon check-out, I was shocked to find an additional charge on three payment cards for makeup marks left on towels. This charge is not only unreasonable but also discriminatory, as I discovered that other guests were not subjected to the same penalty for similar circumstances. I sent two messages on the hotel's online contact form to Jay the manager and received no response. Consequently, I contacted my credit card company to cancel the charge on my credit card due to the lack of response and the absence of any evidence of makeup marks on towels provided by the hotel. The hotel is very nice, staying for more than ten days, suitable for family with baby, has a sofa bed, can cook. The ventilation is also good. It is recommended to rent a suite if cooking, the room does not smell of soot.

I had a great stay here and would definitely pick them again for future travels in the area. First of all Hannah at the front desk was great during check in. I thought employees like her didn't exist and are only portrayed as such on TV, but nope, perfect employees do exist and one of them works here. As for the hotel itself, its clean inside and out. Location and surrounding areas look clean and safe in a perspective of travelers not from around here. There is a Tesla Supercharger station literally across the street, as well as a 7-Eleven and some other small eateries at ”The Island” plaza I believe it's called. Legoland is very close by. The rooms were spacious and reminds you of a Embassy Suite or Extended Stay. This has a FULL kitchen, complete with sink, dishwasher, full size fridge, and an electric cooktop. Plates, utensils, etc are also included. So you can definitely cook here. The Living Area is roomy with a sofa bed. I will add though if you have people sleeping on the sofabed, the bathroom is only accessible by going through the main bedroom. WIFI/internet is included and plenty fast for everyday tasks. It was also reliable with no drops or reconnecting issues. The rooms seem a bit more dated than the main lobby and grounds area, but it's not a big deal or deal breaker. Breakfast is included and it's just OK. Hard to beat Embassy Suite's made to order omelettes at this similar price range. There are a variety of choices which usually are eggs, 2 protein choices (sausages/ham), potatoes, oatmeal, make your ow waffles, variety of breads, fruits, yogurt, juices, etc. The outdoor space is very nice with a pool, hot tub, half court basketball sport court, fire pit, grills if someone wants to grill. There is also a gym with weights, cardio machines. Parking was free also. The price isn't the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. For a family, this is a good option or for those who want something more roomy since its a suite.

The overall room was clean but had a slight smell. I was disappointed in that the fridge was not working and had a wet towel in it. I had drinks and food I wanted kept cold overnight, lame. When I reported it to the clerk she said, ”just turn it on”, well we all know it takes 12-24 hours for fridges to cool down effectively. The bathroom had plenty of towels but only one bar of soap. The shower/tube had a big divot in it but still usable. Their shampoo & conditioner are lacking quality and smell odd (don't use). The hair dryer is weak. Only one top plug on the lamp, yet my wife and myself have phones to plug in and I also require a C-PAP, needless to say you have to unplug one of the other lamps to accommodate a basic now-day feature. The TV remote didn't work (luckily, I had batteries from a camera). I thought it was odd that they lock the lobby restrooms but not the side access doors to the hallway for room (why not use a room key to access like most places?). The pool seemed alright but the grounds where way dirty, full of debris. The free breakfast was okay. Clean area but lacking in food choices. One yogurt, had to fun the bread through twice for the toaster to kind of toast, milk was coolish, and the eggs had a hair in it. The best part of the stay was the old-school AC in the room, was nice and cold after a warm day! The parking is funky too, many of the spaces are small so people were double parking spots, some are awkwardly close to poles, walls, and planters. Overall, stay elsewhere.

Pictures do not do the hotel justice, it looked much better when we visited. Room Good size room with a balcony on floor 4, with partial sea view and view over town, it was so nice to be able to have the door open to allow fresh air in. King size bed, table with two chairs, chair and foot stool. Fridge and air con. Room is missing a safe. Room was very clean and shower over bath worked well. Guest lounge (next to pool) Tea/ coffee and hot chocolate complimentary. Sweets machine (cost) sofa and tables. Breakfast Not included in the cost of the room so we did not try ordering a delivery to our room provided by a nearby restaurant, especially as there are so many restaurants near by. Expensive choices offered for delivery. Location In town with bars/ restaurants and shops on the doorstep. No need to drive if you don’t want to. Car park Plenty of parking spaces, $20 a night. Wi-Fi Good and free Staff Very welcoming and friendly. They can provide some coupons to local restaurants.

I am very satisfied with the accommodations for my guests, friends and family at the Best Western in Otay Valley, Chula Vista. The Staff are very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to switch rooms due to some mix up. Fortunately, I reserved 4 rooms so it's a matter of switching the names of occupants and since they are my family no big deal. The only issue that can be improved is a work space so if your roommate is already asleep you can work downstairs. The space is not private it just a space not even a small room. Also, the key in one of the rooms doesn't work well and they don't have enough people working the night shift. So while I am checking in my other guests, my other guest had to wait since only one person is working that night. Maybe, hire more people to work since this hotel is very busy. The location is right off the freeway so it is very convenient easy to find. It's next to a gas Station with a convenience store. Starbucks is walking distance so the location is great. The staff are all nice, Carmen, Cassandra and Daniel. I only talked to Albert once on the phone but they are very courteous and accommodating in person and on the phone. I would give them a ”5” for Service Excellent customer service.

My husband and I have been owners at Aviara for 22 years and our family always looks forward to spending time at this facility. This year there was a clear decline in service. During our week stay, we had to call housekeeping every single day to request more of the standard items- towels, shampoo, kitchen or washing soaps. Things like Kleenex or paper towels were never replaced when they ran out. Though all the staff was pleasant, there was absolutely no follow through with actions. I had mentioned three times- pre-check-in, at check-in and at checkout that it was my daughter’s birthday and she had had a very hard year. I requested balloons or such to celebrate, but nothing was done until we were literally departing and then only because I mentioned it to the manager. I know this is not standard procedure for a Four Seasons. Many activities were not operating yet and that was a disappointment. There was no kids club, and except for one Saturday activity there was nothing scheduled for children. When our children were young, there was so much activity available and that is not the case. This was not a typical Four Seasons experience and we were all disappointed that it didn’t live up to our pre-Covid experiences.
