Kings Inn

I used this hotel when I went to DistribuTECH 2026 on a business trip. Since this hotel was cheap and not far from the convention center, it was very helpful. Even though the walls were thin, it was not noisy since there were noise rules.

It was safe because it was in the Old Town Hotel Circle and close to the bus stop, so it was easy to move around. You have to eat waffles. I also enjoyed the food I dealt with. I was comfortable and would like to visit again.

The location was in Hotel Circle Mission Valley, so right at the center of things and nearby other hotels. The aesthetic of the hotel was very cute. The outside had pretty basic amenities. However, I experienced a pretty bad issue my first day at the hotel. The water was not running. I tell the front desk and they said they the whole building is experiencing no running water because of a pipe burst. The man at the desk reassured me the water would be back within an hour or so. The water came back within the hour. However, the following night the water was not running again. I complain to the front desk and they said it should be back within a short time. When I ran the water it was running black at first. I complain again to the front desk. They mention it's a very old building and they were doing the best they could. They offered 20% off my first night there. The following day I decided to check out. They offered me a full refund for all the unused nights.

I think everything about this hotel/inn was amazing for the price. It’s super super affordable for what it has to offer. A nice pool, hot tub, clean spacious room. It also has a lot more other amenities that I didn’t list. The only con is: We are right next to the highway so it gets really noisy. If you’re a noise sensitive sleeper this might not be for you. The bathroom is also really small, but if you’re sharing with family and friends it’s really not a huge deal.
