Great experience together with my family! I will recommend this!

It's a decent 2nd-floor accommodation. They charge extra for parking, but there's a gym available.

We stayed for two nights and arrived late. The room had a noticeable smell, but we were too tired, so we pretty much ignored it. The floor was covered in thick dirt, which made me wonder why. Although the room looked clean overall, the dirt on the floor looked like no one had ever swept or vacuumed it. We wore slippers the whole time. Since we stayed out most of the time, we just ignored it.

Weird smell in the room. Beware you need to walk a lot just to get to your room. Pretty spacious! What shocked me about this place is that they didn’t allow me to store my luggage past 2pm. What kind of hotel doesn’t let you store your luggage for the day??? Would not recommend.

Right by the highway, the main draw is its affordable price. We stayed in a poolside room; the hotel has a hot tub, so you can even use it in winter. The room facilities are average but perfectly functional. Parking is convenient, though there's a fee. The front desk staff were very friendly. The hotel's location is decent, making it easy to drive to several attractions.

I used this hotel when I went to DistribuTECH 2026 on a business trip. Since this hotel was cheap and not far from the convention center, it was very helpful. Even though the walls were thin, it was not noisy since there were noise rules.

High-quality welcome, and all the staff were helpful and smiling. It was clean and comfortable. We were 10/15 minutes by car from everything.

The stay was solid given price point, location and helpfulness of the staff at this vintage hotel. Room is clean, bed is comfortable, and has all the basic amenities. However, we would not recommend it if you are a light sleeper as we could hear everything from next doors and from when others walk by our room.

Room was not cleaned every day. It was not serviced on Thursday. Bartender on Thursday night had an attitude and I actually gave him more in a tip than i should have. He should have received nothing more than a quarter.  Don’t get me wrong the rest of the staff in both restaurants was great.

Pros: I was pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The desk folks were friendly and helpful. Maid service was inconsistent but I had what I needed. There is a restaurant on site. Cons: The bed wasn't very comfortable. The biggest issue is the walls are paper thin. Maybe because my room adjoined another, (there was a locked door between rooms), but I could hear the guy next door talking in his sleep, and a family with a screaming baby the following night made my stay uncomfortable. A night or two may be OK, but noise may be an issue. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Very good 👍 cozy and comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to get to the zoo, the beach 🏖️, and nearby restaurants, all within a ten-minute drive!

Our room was very clean and comfortable and a decent size. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It has a good pool. Location was ok not to far from airport and a short bus to the city and a good price. I would recommend staying here

We were pleasantly surprised with the Kings Inn!  After some of the reviews, we were wary that it wasn't going to be clean, but it was totally fine!  Our room was great - the floor probably could have been cleaned more, but for an inn that opens directly to the outside, we didn't think it was bad.  The front desk people were very kind and helpful.  The pool was great and so nice that it wasn't freezing cold!  They supplied plenty of towels.  We didn't have breakfast there.  We were thankful for it's close location to lots of restaurants and several good beaches!  We'd stay here again!  It's hard to find a decent place to stay in San Diego that doesn't cost a ton - so we were very thankful.  It was also very convenient to be able to do laundry if needed - we just dried all the things we used at the beach (for a small fee).  One of the cleaning ladies was extremely kind and helpful when my son, who uses crutches for cerebral palsy, slipped and fell - she helped me get him up and then helped with getting a chair for him to sit in.  I really appreciated her thoughtfulness and help!  Thank you for a good night's stay for our family in San Diego! 

You can hear the street noise, it was old and not updated or renovated, the hot water feels like it has timer, and it charged guest parking. Will not stay again in this hotel.
