Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Downtown/Bayside

We were given a room with a window facing a wall, and the air conditioning was completely broken – it made too much noise, so we just kept it off for our entire stay, which was fine since the weather wasn't too hot. The curtains were also broken; we reported it after checking in, but no one came to fix them before we checked out. The hotel's location is good, very close to Little Italy with lots of great food options nearby, and not far from the USS Midway Museum. However, I won't be booking this hotel again on my next trip to San Diego.

The room itself was fine, but the ventilation system on the ceiling was incredibly noisy. It was impossible to get any sleep. I reported it to the front desk, but they couldn't fix it and wouldn't offer a room change. The breakfast restaurant was expensive and not good.

The hygiene was acceptable. It's very close to the airport and train tracks, so there was some noise at times. Bottled water isn't provided in the room; you have to buy it downstairs, but it's more expensive than outside. The location is very convenient, close to Little Italy.

I would definitely book this place again if I ever come back to San Diego! It's incredibly clean, and the facilities are excellent, even offering self-service laundry. It's also conveniently close to the airport and has fantastic views. I'm thoroughly satisfied!
