The replacement room was in deplorable condition. The refrigerator and television were broken, and the lights were out, leaving the space shrouded in darkness and coated with dust. The room was nearly uninhabitable due to a strong, foul odor and an overall lack of proper ventilation, making it almost impossible to breathe. Despite being aware that prices were significantly inflated during this exhibition week, I was willing to tolerate higher costs—until I experienced severe discomfort.
After using the provided linens and towels, I developed severe itching and an allergic reaction. That first night, I barely slept due to the conditions in the room. At midnight, I informed the hotel of my decision to check out early, and they initially promised a refund for the remaining days. However, after I left, they reneged on their promise and refused to refund me for the remaining four days of my stay.
