Hotel Caza Fisherman’s Wharf

I was quite disappointed with my stay, especially considering the price paid. The air conditioning was extremely loud; every 15 minutes there would be a disruptive noise that made it difficult to rest properly throughout the night. Additionally, the TV was not functioning at all, which is a very basic amenity one would expect from any hotel. The room assignment was also far from ideal. I was given a room on Level 2 with a view facing the interior of the hotel, directly towards a staircase and pantry area. There was constant foot traffic, which significantly reduced privacy and made the stay feel uncomfortable. Service was also lacking. When I requested for a kettle, it was provided, but without any cups. When I had to call again to request for cups, the staff who came up appeared visibly annoyed, which made the interaction quite unpleasant. Only pro is the location near Fisherman Wharf, otherwise will not be reccomend. Room size and cleanliness was also decent.

Hotel is good and the service is great. However note that the water pressure is quite weak and very hard to control the water temperature (not sure if this is just a US thing). Also, our AC unit made some loud noises so we decided to keep it off, it’s no issue since SF weather is very comfortable anyways.

location was good, check in was easy. however, i think it would be better if basic amenities like room slippers and toothbrushes/toothpaste were provided. the air conditioning was noisy though

The room is spacious and clean. The location is so convenient that is several minutes walk to the fisherman wharf.

The hotel itself is highly recommended. It has a great location, very nice rooms and very friendly service. However, we also had some hiccups during our visit. We had booked the room for four people, but the room was only equipped with towels for three people. Not that much of an issue - we just asked every day for an additional towel. We booked an Alcatraz Bundle via the concierge, which all went well. However, the charge included a $15 consumption voucher per person at the hotel bar, which was a bit difficult to redeem. You had to try to get the exact amount, as it was not possible to receive a credit for any change left. It was also not possible to pay on top of the voucher. We were told that the voucher could be used like cash but it wasn't quite like that after all. So perhaps this is not necessarily recommended. We also booked bicycles with the concierge, which worked very well. However, my kids really liked the evening cookies and milk and the games room.

We had a great nights sleep. The mattress was very comfortable. If you are a light sleeper, then you may have a hard time sleeping since the walls seem to be thin and the windows are not double pane. We could hear people waiting for public transportation just outside of our window and people with children in the room next to us and in the hallway. We had fun playing foosball. Since we had such a short day, we didn’t have time to use the gym or use the pool tables.
