We were to be travelling from Perugia to spend a night in Rome before flying back to Australia. But Italy was experiencing a heatwave, so why walk around Rome, in and out of shops for 24 hours? What else to do? We opened a map of Italy. We saw Terni, partway between Perugia and Rome and then we saw San Gemini, just outside Terni. There was a choice of hotels, but we selected Grand Hotel San Gemini, mainly because it had a large pool area, which was just what we needed. The hotel was exceptional. Good value. Good staff (a shout-out to the reception staff and to the person who served us poolside for lunch and then at the restaurant for dinner a few hours later.) The pool area was magnificent. The balcony restaurant atmosphere was beautiful. The food was amazing - both in quality and in presentation. And San Gemini itself was a beautiful small place, nice cobbled streets, very quiet, with friendly people. We sat somewhere for tea and coffee and we felt very comfortable. We would like to return to San Gemini one day and if we do, we know which hotel we will be booking.

A hotel without any sphere: I stayed in April when it was 27c. The pool in the hotel park was still closed. There were hardly any clients. Yes I did get an upgrade but for a 4* hotel: no tea/coffee room facilities; no iron facilities; not any internation channel on th eTV. At breakfast there was not any service: had to ask for eggs: people does hardly speak English and the young lady behind the reception was very rude. They advertise with a spa but you can not use the spa without using an extra paid treatment. They have the unacceptable habit to write on my block/worrkingnote beside my telephone. UNACCEPTABLE!

What a comfortable place to stay. Spent 2 nights just relaxing and welling the beautiful town of San Gemini. Shower has a steam shower in the junior suite. Would highly recommend upgrading if you’re up for a treat.

We booked for a weekend. We met wonderful receptionists in our 3 day stay. They were efficient and very professional!The make up room was very fast but the bathroom was a bit complicated to use the shower. There are some little things that i noticed, our bathroom had some dirt that needs scrubbing. Not more! The pool area is the best place! Over all we are satisfied!!

Posto incantevole.. curato nei minini dettagli.. il personale fantastico, attento a tutte le esigenze… ambiente bello ed accogliente … situato nel centro storico… ci hanno fatto stare davvero bene… ci tornerò sicuramente .. grazie!!!

Hotel nel cuore del borgo medievale di San Gemini (Terni), camere spaziose ed eleganti. Servizio di colazione di prima classe. Davvero degna di nota la piscina inserita in un parco privato adiacente l'hotel. Relax e cura da 5 stelle. Da consigliare.

Struttura molto bella e suggestiva poiché si trova in un palazzo storico restaurato, ricco di affreschi ed opere d'arte ed in adiacenza al Duomo. La piscina è situata in un parco totalmente immerso nel verde, rilassante al massimo (se non si ha la sfortuna,come capitata a noi, di avere come vicini genitori e bimbi molto molesti). Abbiamo trovato una colazione ricca e di qualità e, ciò che ci ha maggiormente colpito, è stata l'attenzione a tutte le esigenze, c'erano tante torte e prodotti senza glutine e senza lattosio, questo in maniera tale da garantire un ottimo e ricco pasto anche a chi ha intolleranze, cosa che ahimè spesso non trovo in giro. Le camere sono belle ed accoglienti,mobili moderni, pavimenti in parquet e soffitto in legno. Inoltre, quello che ha fatto la differenza rispetto a tante altre strutture è l'estrema accoglienza , cortesia e attenzione al cliente di tutto lo staff.... da coloro che ti accolgono alla reception, al personale delle pulizie, della cucina e del servizio ai tavoli. Ci torneremo molto volentieri. La location, pur dentro le mura, è molto comoda per chi arriva in automobile o moto, perché l'hotel si trova a pochi metri dalla porta d'accesso alla città e di fronte a tale porta ,appena fuori le mura quindi, vi è un grande parcheggio. Unica nota che posso segnalare (solo per i dormiglioni) è che alle 8 in punto suonano le prime campane e, essendo in adiacenza al Duomo, si sentono un bel po'.... se sia positiva o negativa è personale.
