DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cariari San Jose - Costa Rica
4.1/5111 Reviews
This hotel rocks! We stayed here the first night of our trip, and were welcomed by the kind staff and some of the FRESHEST and WARMEST TASTIEST free cookies upon check in. By the end of our stay one of our relatives literally hoarded the cookies, asking for 4-5 per day. The pool was very pretty, and the breakfast was so fancy, aesthetic and tasty! The rooms were nice and cool, very clean, and had a great selection of TV channels. On the last night of our trip, we had initially pre-planned to stay at this one hotel in the forrest, but our party decided to leave because of a number of concerning observations. We were all exhausted as it was the end of our trip, and needed somewhere to stay. Immediately everyone started chanting that they wanted to go back to the DoubleTree. We arrived and everyone sighed a relief, and we went to our warm beds with our cookies!
Radisson San Jose Costa Rica

We stayed for one night after arriving in San Jose. We got a taxi from the airport, which took about half an hour to get to the hotel. The hotel is really big and spacious, the rooms were comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed the lovely pool area outside where we could relax with drinks from the bar.
Gran Hotel Costa Rica, Curio Collection by Hilton
4.4/5102 Reviews
Great location in the heart of San Jose, within walking distance from all the city’s attractions. As a Hilton member, we were recognised with a great upgrade to a nice and modern room. The daily breakfast was sumptuous with local and western options. The evening happy hour was incredible and the best selection of drinks we’ve ever been to. Would also like to thank several staff who helped us during our stay - Anthony the bellhop, and Carlos + Marcela, severs at the hotel’s restaurant. One suggestion is for the reception counter staff to be more friendly and approachable. The perception we got was they were cold and rushed.
Barceló San José

The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Barcelo San Jose this Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms and high quality service. Excellent property and very convenient to USC activities. Front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. Property is clean and has a fantastic old time charm.
Quality Hotel Real San Jose

Me and my kids came to the property quite late at night. While getting them and luggage out of our car it automatically locked with the keys inside. The front desk night auditor offered to call the chief of maintenance, Mr. Jorge Murillo, who was quickly thereafter helping with opening the car while other staff joined to help, we had a smooth check-in and got extra help with our bags and settling in. Mr. Murillo eventually managed to open the car and saved us a salty bill for a smith to come at night. Every single staff member was kind and helpful. We were impressed with the level of service and commitment to guests. They truly do go the extra mile. Will recommend for sure. Carlos D. Angulo.
Courtyard San Jose Escazu

Marriott always get it right with the things that are useful and important. Good location if staying in San Jose..not right in the middle of the hassle & bustle it's 20 mins drive to downtown. It does however have its courtyard of restaurents and the multi plaza across from it so a good location to downtown and the airport. The room itself is modern, clean, has a large TV, coffee machine, good locks on the inside of the door for extra security if you're travelling solo. Hot water, body products, large bed and decent restaurent. Plus if you're working online it has decent WiFi and lots of good spots to set up and get on. Little tip get a room with a balcony facing the back and not overlooking the shops at the front. Nice little view. Breakfast is good with selections of vegetarian and vegan options.
