Clean but a bit run down. We stayed in a room on the first floor just off the patio with all windows, including the bathroom, facing the patio. Because there is no A/C (which we weren’t aware of when we booked), we had to leave the windows open for airflow. However, the windows had to be closed at night for privacy (right off the patio). The bed was a slab of concrete and the ceiling fan wasn’t enough to cool the room, therefore sleep was hard to come by. The breakfast was just ok, nothing special (but the cook was a doll). The bathroom was adequate (dark and the towels were fraying and as thin as crepe paper). For the price per night, we expected more (especially since was our second trip to San Miguel de Allende.). There are many other places to stay in SMdeA that would be a much better choice.

This is a hidden gem in San Miguel. The house is large with a delightful patio and a lot of flowers, with a nice terrace on the top.The perfume of orange trees and jasmin were incredible. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent. highly recommended.

I booked two .. one week retreats in this fabulous boutique with 6 suites. Exquisite hacienda .. excellent breakfasts. Convenient to downtown. Gracious hospitality of staff. Roof top beautiful views. Massages and beauty everywhere. Bobbi v. artist Jan:Feb 2023
