Start with the positives. Lots of sunbeds available all day. Staff work hard especially the bar staff. Fresh towels every day and rooms kept clean. Authentic Spanish courtyard in the central Lady Betty bar area with lots of flowers and shrubs. Would be good central location for golfers. Will suit families as their are good pool areas , lots of activities and is safe and more child friendly than adult. Now for the negatives. Long wait at reception to check in. If you have an early morning flight you will have to wait till after 2pm to enter your room. The food is ok for kids but the quality of main meals is not acceptable for adults. Meal times are chaotic and very busy. A lack of quality and variety of fish courses and always overcooked making the fish inedible. We booked a Deluxe twin room and paid extra, but were given a double, room 184. When I complained at reception, I was told it was not possible to change this. I will be taking this up with TUI as to why this happened and couldn't be altered , especially as I paid extra for this choice. Coffee, tea and milk not renewed when finished, so bring your own. My pet hate , smokers smoking in the designated non-smoking areas and not adhering to this.( No respect for the young children with asthma.) No-one is policing this. The bathroom smells constantly, probably to do with the drains. The shower leaks and you have to place towels to soak up the water to prevent slips or accidents. The air con was not always available to us, and when it was, it was ineffective. Getting quality sleep is an issue. Lots of noise in the early hours till 2am and then the pool maintenance guys hosing the pool area from 6.30m onwards. We will not return to this hotel. We have other favourites and will pay more to return to them.
