Hostal Solor

Less than a five-minute walk from the bus stop, the storefront is small, but the interior is surprisingly spacious and professionally designed. It's clean, odor-free, and usually managed by Fernando, who doesn't speak English. The rooms are small but fully equipped, including a fan, and there's a rooftop garden right outside the room. It's quiet both day and night, though a bit noisy in the morning. It's a ten-minute walk to the city center, perfect for a stroll. Taxis are hard to find, but proximity to the bus stop is crucial!

Without a doubt, the best choice we made! Our stay at Hostal Solor in San Pedro de Atacama delighted us with all the care and kindness shown to us. A special thank you to Fernando, who was much more than a service provider; he took care of details like personalizing breakfast, preparing our snacks for all our late-night outings—we joked that he took care of us like our grandmothers!

We stayed at Hostal Solor in November 2025, my husband, my 7-year-old daughter, and I. We were very well received by the owner, Fernando, and had an excellent stay. We stayed in a suite with a kitchen; upon arrival, everything was clean and well-organized. The hostel offers breakfast, which is very well served, with everything fresh and prepared on the spot. The town is quite small, and the hostel is a little way from the main street, about a 10-minute walk to Caracoles Street. I recommend the hostel for its comfort, value for money, Fernando's excellent reception (always helpful and willing to assist), and great location.
