Mercure San Sebastián Monte Igueldo

The hotel is located on the top of a mountain offering splendid views of the sea and the San Seb bay. The rooms were well equipped, but showed signs of being dated. The staff at the reception were amazing and very welcoming. They help with everything, incl arranging for a taxi. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. Practically no hot/ warm meals (except toast). The attitude of the staff at the breakfast restaurant was a bit cold. No morning greetings, no passion to help guests, slow table clearance and there was no one to check me in (and many others) at the entrance. Not expected from Mercure. But overall, a great stay!!

Loved the hotel. Fabulous interior and the views to die for. We had a corner room with uninterrupted views across the bay. Pool was closed because of the time of year but looked inviting. Staff were really helpful too. As regards location we didn’t mind being on top of the small mountain as we had a car but the funicular closed early if you didn’t want to take the car which meant taxis.

Fabulous location, reception staff very good. Barman was a little grumpy but overall excellent. Breakfast was really good too

Excellent location, car parking is provided. We had a balcony overlooking the port. We really enjoyed our stay and would return. Easier to park at the hotel and taxi in. Hotel can sort out taxis for you.

Room is clean. At check in, staff is not flexible about room selection and just saying it is full. Full mean full occupancy but does not mean room choice and view must be still considerable in early check in around 5pm
