Excelsior Dolomites Life Resort

Everything was a high level surprise: from the kitchen : from breakfast (home made croissants, krafen, cakes and fruit salad), to the snack (2 cakes and a lot of tasty fruit) and dinner with the final triumph. The buffet was varied, plentiful and always replenished. The courses in the evening meals seemed to master chef, served by waiters very polite and careful. The pool water is not too cold, while the outside pool very enjoyable, warm and in front of a beautiful scenario. The Sauna area offers a variety of treatments, with the heat and steam. The hotel organization is perfect if you want biking, hiking or try archery. Also e-bike are available (paying) and this can be helpful if you are not an expert biker. The room was large and clean, finally with enough place to hang our things. And last but not least the smile and the kindness of the staff let us the desire to come back there.

This was our fourth visit to the Dolomites region but our first to Kronplatz (San Vigilio). The hotel was wonderful from start to finish. Clean, beautiful, friendly. The food was delicious and the cocktails and drinks lovely too. Beautiful offerings at breakfast, a wide selection of options in the afternoons too. And dinner - sublime. I’m coeliac and my gluten free diet was not a problem at all. I had as much choice as everyone else. The ski locker room was great and to be able to ski in and out was bliss! The spa area was a delight after a hard day of skiing. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for helping to make our trip such a memorable one. In particular, Luka behind the bar and Florin in the restaurant. Thank you. Can’t wait to return.

A Truly Exceptional Stay at Excelsior Hotel in San Viglio We stayed at the Excelsior Hotel in San Viglio and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We booked a Family Duplex Room, which was spacious, comfortable, and ideal for a family—beautifully designed with plenty of room to relax. The service throughout was excellent. One standout example: we were running late on arrival, and the hotel proactively called us to offer dinner delivered to our room so we wouldn’t miss out—an incredibly thoughtful touch. We booked an e-bike tour with Mr. Call, along with our two children, and it was one of the highlights of the trip. He guided us through truly spectacular landscapes, and we had an absolute blast on the bikes. Highly recommend this activity! We also participated in the #DolomitesWall, the mountain climbing wall at the hotel which the kids powered around - and we tentatively followed. A little bit of onsite adrenaline. The adults-only infinity pool is simply breathtaking—the view over the Dolomites is unforgettable. Meanwhile, the children’s pool is just as impressive, with high-end features that kept our kids entertained for hours. The spa facilities, including steam rooms and saunas, were clean and luxurious. Both my husband and I had massages (€100 each) which were excellent and fairly priced. Fitness-wise, the hotel offers two gym areas. The cardio and weights space is compact, but more than sufficient if you’re active during the day. The Fit & Fun Zen Zone, is a gorgeous workout space with a jaw-dropping view. We opted for the ¾ board (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner) and found it to be great value for money. The food was of solid quality with a good selection each day. A real gem of the hotel is the cocktail bar—it would hold its own in any 5-star hotel in London or New York. The cocktails were the best we’ve had in a very long time, and the bartenders were clearly very experienced. In short, the Excelsior offers a fantastic blend of luxury, family-friendly amenities, and unforgettable experiences in the heart of the Dolomites. We would return in a heartbeat!

Amazing hotel in St Vigil - probably the best in the area. The service was great, the facilities are all new and nicely decorated, comfy beds. The location was great and the views amazing but the best of all was probably the food! Cocktails are great too

The view from the hotel is amazing. You can sit there drinking afternoon tea and have some cakes or join the interesting activities organised by the hotel. You can reach the most famous points all within 1.5 hours. You can also have packed lunch if you cannot come back

I cannot fault this hotel. The entire staff were, without exception, polite, kind, helpful and cheerful. The hotel is clean and very well provided in terms of facilities. The dinner is fabulous, with a good and varied choice, exciting flavours and beautiful presentation. Breakfast has a very wide choice both self service and table service. We did not have lunch as we were skiing. The cocktail bar has a huge range of amazing cocktails, which are prepared and served with enthusiasm and and should not be missed. The pools and spa areas are impeccably clean and were certainly not busy in March, the view from the roof top pool is stunning and perfect for a post ski relax. 2 of our party had a couple's massage and spa which they were delighted with. I am a very critical person of even small deficiencies and I was delighted with our stay here. We have already booked to go back next year.
