Sandakan Hostels

By far, dah banyak kali stay sini kalau datang Sandakan. Still the hotel that i would choose over and over again. The experience just get better everytime. What makes my stay become better this time is the receptionist named Darwin. He explained everything carefully and made sure i understand everything. SHOUT OUT TO DARWIN FOR THE GREATEST HOSPITALITY!! You made my vacation better, tq so much.

Good and affordable place to stay. Im staying with infant room is very big and clean. Toilet also clean, got water heater, easy to going upstair because got more than two lift. Room number also clear only the door bell need to improve because when i ring it , the sounds not clear inside the room. Its make me waiting inside the room. The tv inside the room also good because using smart tv. My baby not boring because can turn you tube and play baby sound.

The hotel location is very good..with good parking space..clean room.. The water heater is branded with the cup n aircond..no wonder the deposit is kind of expensive rm 150 (returnable)....the problem is just the TV have no signal so i cant watch tv during my stay. Book for 2 night but if u want the room to be clean u hv to request via qr code provided...oh ya during check in u hv to fill the phone via online..with qr code provided n upload ur ic n ur booking. Overall its a pleasent stay...

Glad that I stayed just for 1 night, but that 1 night cause me to have a bar flu, as I am allergic to dusty. The place itself is okay, and quite convenient for those who just want to stay for a day transit, as it is near to the airport, and only 20mins to Sepilok Orang Utan. The place is rundown, as u can see in the pictures, they seem not to have effort to change the bad wall paper, clean the dusty etc. Really need to refurbish again. Stay away if u have an allergic to dusty, u will regret like me. But a good area for transit in terms of location. Breakfast food was just okay.

Central in the main town, great base for day tours to the parks/sanctuary/River. Few options for food along the waterfront. Sandakan seems a quiet town with a few tourists but mainly local (v friendly) population, clearly a short stop/jump off spot. Options for 'drinks' are few - this is a no alcohol establishment, but there is a roof bar 3 mins walk for an evening beverage (the baling Hotel roof). Very clean..comfy bed, great aircon and hot shower. For the price the included breakfast had fresh fruits, to order omelets /eggs/ rice/ noodles and toast. No complaints!!!

We arrived in the middle of the night (1-2 AM) by bus, walked 50 meter, were helped immediately and after a good shower were sleeping about 40min after we arrived with the bus. This is the kind of service you only dream of when you get somewhere at that time. Clean, good beds, great AC and the service was great. Would recommend if you arrive in the middle of the night, or have to depart really early. Nothing to see in the vicinity, so in case you're not going to Sandakan / Sepilok immediately this is a good option.

We got this location on a cancellation by another hotel and couldn't have been more pleased. Our Junior Suite was spacious and comfortable. The buffet was excellent and dinner at the Chinese restaurant on 1st floor terrific. Not Halal certified (i.e.: Pork and liquor served here) we enjoyed the dim-sum brunch on Saturday. The evening entertainment left everyone happy with pictures to remember the performance. The owner is a fantastic host. Limited English programming on TV. A destination in itself.

Location of the hotel it's make me so convenience, surrounding by restaurant's,located in the middle heart of sandakan.. Room made me so satisfied,big and Clean with the friendly manner services from the hotels staff.. Hope I can check in back Tq.Tyng😍

Very good location as it's within walking distance from nearby grocery stores and plenty of good restaurants. Room very clean and super comfy. Take note that the cheapest room is for shared bathroom so you have to go outside from your room to take shower or toilet. Other than that staff super helpful and great place to stay.

One of the cheapest budget hotel in sandakan but with affordable price for backpackers. This was my family trip with parents. So my parents got the reception floor room while i got the second floor with stairs only. No lift.
