The Caledonian Island Hotel

The rooms appears to be very run down, damaged carpets. The bathroom shower handle was leaking in one room , and it was not working at all in the other room. Uncomfortable beds, very noisy rooms, could hear everything from outside. Defenitely not worth the money.

Hotel was good it does need to redo room but otherwise it was good 👍 experience would recommend

This hotel was amazing and is a great part of the Isle of Wight in Sandown. Its staff are exceptionally friendly and chatty, and I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. The amnesties are also quite good but with no swimming pool as was demolished 3 years ago. It has a restaurant, but it's not always open. Apart from that, it's a 5/5 choice.

I am really really dissapointed with the hotel staff and service. We booked 2 rooms in the hotel. Unfortunately, I have to mention that we are Asians and we really felt that the staff is ****** as they didn't treat us well. And were very rude. They refused us even basic services like replacing the room kettle which was not working. I also faced some ****** comments from other hotel guests. It was the worst experience of my life. I would recommend if you are not British then do not book this hotel and personal advice do not visit Isle of Wight as people are racists here. This is deeply saddening and disappointing. But this is the worst hotel ever. And the money they charge is definitely not worth the services and hotel rooms you get. Would never ever visit again.

A lovely clean friendly hotel. Room was basic but cleaned every day to a high standard.  Location is just outside of town/beach, in a quiet  picturesque area took us about 6minutes to walk into town.

Could be a little gem but needs some tlc , breakfast was lovely and staff very pleasant , just needs a good clean and photos need updating , no pool anymore and cleaning of corridors and doors needs checking

The hotel was convenient and clean, unfortunately the staff didn’t consider the occupants privacy or security having left the patio doors wide open tkk on both of the rooms we occupied either following cleaning the room or after entering due to a false fire alarm which at one point left us thinking the room had been broken into and possessions taken.

Only staff was nice in this hotel rest all was crap!!!

Absolutely a nice staying here will be back
