The Leonardo In a class of its own .. We spent four nights at The Leonardo in a two bedroom grand suite. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival to be greeted by warm friendly staff and a beautiful reception area and lounge. The art work throughout the property is stunning and adds to the general feeling of being in a high end establishment. There was initially some mix up with our booking but Penelope was very helpful and made sure that we were able to check in without any delay. After our Moet&Chandon welcome drink we were taken to our well appointed suite which had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The Al La Carte breakfast was very high quality (although slow to arrive at times) and had enough choice for everyone. Presentation was top notch and we left the hotel each morning feeling very satisfied and ready for the days adventures. Overall, this is a gorgeous hotel in an excellent location. It is made even more homely by the attentiveness of the staff who are alway on hand to make sure that no needs go unmet. Special shout out to Penelope, Bobo ( aka The President) Paulina, Tshepo & Ray (Security Door Man Extraordinaire) !! Great team !

I’ve stayed at this hotel for an extended period of time. It’s like faulty towers, dressed up as something overpriced and ‘luxury’ when in fact, it’s rather pathetic. Nothing works. They steel from you and won’t do anything to take responsibility. I’d genuinely rather stay at a holiday inn.

This hotel is probably one of the worst. It presents as a 5 star experience but you can be assured that the service is non existent. All you get are apologies. They have crazy parties making it very noisy. The cleaning is poor. The food is terrible. The view isn’t enough to make up for constant lack of aircon during load shedding.

If you are looking for a long stay, stay away. People drinking and smoking weeds in the hallways all night long. Managers are very much aware of it, but don’t mind it. Ladies coming in and out too … Don’t go there if you are looking for a good rest.

Lovely stay at the hotel , Breakfast was decent however the restaurant was okay not so bad . The penthouse is very clean however slightly basic Porters and front office are lovely but please don’t forget to always greet your guests . Highly recommended

Hotel couldn't get WiFi to work on arrival. Took half a day to get the right password. The pillow menu has nice pillows but they never available so what's the point. We had no hand towels for 2 days even after asking for it. On a Sunday they can only clean rooms in the afternoon. We kept asking for the room to be cleaned but they only came in the afternoon. No available parking spaces on weekends.

Some of the room functions were not working properly; when I requested to move to another room, I encountered a very rude guest service manager (Fredy); he ended having a big verbal fight with me; such a shame for a hotel claiming to be a five star. I wrote to the GM and left a letter at his office, before I checked out; as well as asking my travel manager to convey my bad experience being handled by Mr Freddy; to our awe, no single respond every coming from the Leonardo management.
