"We arrived at the hotel at 4 or 5 pm on the day of check-in, and there was no sound of renovation next to us. But the next morning at 7 or 8, the next door (right next to it) started to renovate, and I couldn't sleep at all. And the three skylights on the ceiling would start to shine directly into my eyes at 6 or 7 in the morning, and I couldn't rest at all because of the dazzle of the sun. Hygiene: The inside of the toothbrush cup in the bathroom was full of black and yellow scale and dust Service: The next day, I communicated with the housekeeper of the homestay and asked why they didn't tell me that the next door was being renovated when I checked in. The housekeeper meant "I can't do it". If you can't do this little thing, do you deserve this price? You knew that the next door was being renovated, but you didn't tell me in advance, but blamed the guests for not going to bed and getting up early? If you can't do this homestay well, don't do it, okay?"

"Cleanliness: The cleanliness was appalling, just as the photos show. The floor was moldy, and every corner of the bathroom seemed to have been overlooked during cleaning. Truly a nightmare for anyone who cares about hygiene! I didn't even dare to look too closely, even with my glasses on. Service: The service was generally acceptable, but there was a major issue. On the last day, my room card stopped working. The check-out time was clearly stated as 4 PM, so I should have still had access. This really left a bad impression. I had to go all the way down to the front desk to reactivate it, and what made it worse was that I was in a rush to catch my high-speed train for check-out. Location: The location was just average. The main attractions it supposedly boasts across the street, like the museum and Dong Tiangong, are completely unremarkable – especially Dong Tiangong, which is definitely not worth visiting. This means it's not close to any genuinely important sights, although a taxi ride to the Wind and Rain Bridge or Sanjiang Drum Tower only costs about 7-8 yuan. As for dining, there are no options within 500m of the hotel. You need to walk at least 800m, taking a long detour, to reach a commercial street with food. There's a local market about 500m away and a small shop across the road, but other than that, the surroundings are quite deserted. Overall, for tourists, the location is genuinely inconvenient. Facilities: The facilities were mostly standard. The only real bonus was the bathtub; everything else was pretty average. The curtains weren't even motorized, so it definitely didn't feel very 'smart' or up-to-date. Overall, for a 300 yuan room rate in Sanjiang, it felt like all the effort and cost went into superficial decoration. The lobby and corridors were well-designed and attractive, but the actual rooms themselves completely lacked attention to detail or comfort, leading to a very poor guest experience."

"Perched on the mountaintop, our B&B offered a distinct change of scenery right from the multi-kilometer uphill drive, a world away from the city bustle. The car park, situated on a large viewing platform, immediately had us pulling out our phones to capture the views. Our room involved quite a few steps down, but a staff member kindly helped us with our luggage, making two trips. He even politely refused a refreshing drink we offered him on that scorching hot day. The service was absolutely outstanding."

"This is probably the best located homestay in Chengyang Bazhai, right next to the first bridge entering the scenic area, and next to it is the national protected covered bridge. Quiet, close to the bridgehead for dinner or a short walk into the village. The boss is nice and provides pick-up and drop-off. Travel during off-peak hours before National Day. The room is in a wooden building and is average, but the side view room has windows on both sides, a private room and a balcony. The off-season room rate is absolutely worth it."

"My spouse and I booked a twin room through Trip.com. However, when we checked in, the front desk staff, a young man and woman, only gave us a double room. We realized the mistake upon entering the room, and had no choice but to drag our luggage back to the front desk to sort it out. The young man was gone, and the young woman stubbornly insisted that there were no twin rooms left! I stood my ground, explaining that since we had a reservation, it couldn't possibly be true that there were none. Only then did she reluctantly give us a twin room. Considering the price wasn't cheap, encountering such a shady tactic was truly appalling and the first time we've experienced something like this on our trip. We hope you will reinforce professional ethics training among your staff and teach them about contractual integrity, ensuring honest business practices that don't swindle customers. Don't tarnish Sanjiang's reputation."
