Romantik Aparthotel Sonnleitn

We visited 3 years ago and were so excited to come back this year! We stayed in the "Wilder Kaiser" apartment and the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom layout was great for our family (kids ages 8 and 5). The kids loved swimming in the pool, jumping on the trampoline, table tennis & playing in the yard. My husband and I enjoyed the spectacular views of the mountains. We enjoyed having breakfast and happy hour on the huge balcony. The hotel is in a great location - walking distance to the cable car, shops & restaurants in St. Johann. Everything is very clean and decoreated in a traditional Austrian style. Christian and his family are very kind & responsive. Christian speaks great English as well. We had a lovely time and will be back (again) next time we are in Austria!

The perfect location for ski vacation next to the slope. The appartment is equipped with everything to feel like at home, comfortable beds and pillows. Service and cleanliness are at the highest level.

Excellent location next to the ski slope, a few minutes walk to the ski lift. Lovely views from the well equipped and comfortable apartment. The host was very friendly and helpful. Good communication before our stay with prompt replies to my queries.

We had a lovely time in the Tirol apartment. Two nice bedrooms and a cosy Kitchen/livingroom and it was very clean and really nice. The host is very friendly - and you can order fresh bread for breakfast - Really nice. And the view is breathtaking. Close to the lift up to the mountain. We can highly recommend it.

Stayed at the apartment with my family for almost a week. Very nice place, quiet yet close to city center, clean and well equipped. Booking and communication fast and nice. For skiers there is a ski lift few steps away from the apartment. Do recommend.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay and definitely plan on coming back. The hosts were discreet, professional, and friendly . Top location, spectacular views! No car needed, the shops and restaurants within walking distance. Plenty of hiking trails directly from hotel.

We have been coming to Aparthotel Sonnleitn for 15 years. Sonnleitn is not just a hotel - it feels like our second home! And Family Meier are not just the proprietors - we consider them friends! We’ve had the pleasure of visiting St. Johann in Tirol many times over the years, usually for January ski season but also for occasional summer hiking trips and the famous Knödelfest in September. Over the years, we’ve stayed in several of the Sonnleitn rooms. When traveling as a solo couple, we normally chose the “Sport” room, the smallest apartment but perfect for two adults. In January 2023 we decided to splurge to celebrate two milestone birthdays and booked the “Kaiser Residenz” penthouse. The Residenz was the perfect apartment for our group of five adults and one teenager, featuring three bedrooms each with private en suite bathroom and shower. After every great ski day, we retired to the spacious open-plan living room/kitchen/dining room - cooking dinner as a group and laughing over drinks and card games. The views of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range from the wrap-around porch are priceless. We will treasure our memories and photos of this trip for many years. Sadly next year our job is taking us far from Austria, but dreaming of our next winter visit to St. Johann & Hotel Sonnleitn. Auf Wiedersehen!
