Hotel Park

The hotel was average and we felt improvements could be made. The rooms are quite basic, we could feel the springs in the mattresses in our room and we didn’t sleep very well. The pillows need replacing as all the stuffing has formed little balls and all our party in both rooms felt they were very uncomfortable. The bathrooms however were excellent. The rooms and hotel was clean but a little tired in places. There isn’t any air conditioning anywhere in the hotel and we had temperatures over 30, so it was quite uncomfortable at times. There are no tea making facilities in the room. Although tea and coffees are available between 1-4 , you had to purchase it from the bar at other times which is only open 4-11 and it was also served as half a cup of hot water with a tea bag, there were times when I wanted to buy a cup of tea and there was no one in the bar to serve us so had to do without, by the time I got home I was desperate for a good cup of tea. Drinks with your evening meal are part of the package however when I asked the lady owner for a cup of tea instead of alcohol I was really dismayed to find that she had charged 2.70 euros to our room, I felt this was a bit mean as I hadn’t had any of the other drinks on offer as part of the package. The breakfast was average and same every day. We had two early pick ups due to going on day trips and when I asked the lady owner if we could go down for breakfast a little earlier than 7.30 she said no, and if we wanted a pack up breakfast we had to pay 7.50 euros each, these were the only two interactions I had with the owner and it didn’t leave a good impression, in fact it appears that the owners are more interested in profit than customer relations especially as when we went down at 7.15 to make our choices for our evening meal the breakfast was all set up, so we couldn’t understand why we weren’t allowed to have breakfast a little earlier. Evening meal was mostly very good and one of our party’s dietary requirements were catered for without any fuss which we very much appreciated. The staff were very helpful and friendly, however we all found the lady and gentleman owners a little aloof they didn’t interact with us at all and seemed more interested in the regular visitors that were there at the same time as us, so we didn’t feel our custom was at all important to them. The hotel is well placed with an easy 10 min walk to the town centre. St Johan is a nice typical Austrian town with good transport links by bus or train. Check out the Uber Tower, you can sit outside enjoying the scenery with a beer made at the attached brewery and delicious pretzels, staff are very friendly and the sausage and schnitzels are also delicious. We enjoyed our stay in general but wouldn’t go back to this Hotel.

As a female solo traveller visiting a country I had never been to before, I was honestly a little apprehensive about travelling alone. But from the minute I arrived at the hotel, I felt instantly at ease. ❤️ The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially Lisa and Raquel! 🥰 They were always on hand with advice about what to do each day, how to get there and even little tips that made exploring so much easier. The owner went above and beyond too and even booked my train tickets to Salzburg, including a stop at the Salt Mines! 🚂⛰️ Such a thoughtful touch and it made everything so stress-free. My room was absolutely immaculate 🧼✨ and surprisingly spacious, even though I was staying in a single room. I’ve had such a fantastic experience here and would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone, especially solo travellers. 💕 I felt safe, comfortable and genuinely looked after throughout my stay. I’m already looking at coming back next winter to see the beautiful town covered in snow! ❄️🏔️😍 Thank you for making my first trip to Austria such a memorable one! 🇦🇹❤️

We would thoroughly recommend staying in this hotel. The family that run it are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. The place is spotless and the staff are lovely. We had a room with a balcony which was very nice with a beautiful view. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate. The towels were changed daily. We stayed half board which was excellent. The breakfast was very nice with a choice of fresh fruit, cheese/ham, bread rolls, pastries or cooked breakfast. Dinner was also excellent serving a starter, salad bar, soup, main course, sweet and a glass of wine/beer/soft drink. We couldn't fault it. The guest card was also an added bonus allowing us to have a trip on the gondola, visit to the beautiful swimming pool complex and a train journey to Kitzbuhel all free of charge. Saint Johann itself is very pretty. Lovely walks along the river and the town is nice. it's about a 10 minute easy walk from the hotel into the town.

Lovely hotel run by a lovely family and their staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Very clean, well serviced rooms, excellent food with good daily choices. Well positioned for easy access to St. Johann town. Little extras like a very efficient laundry service made our stay trouble free.

A traditional Austrian hotel in a great location. Ski hire is next door and it’s a 5 minute walk to the main gondola and 8 minutes to the bus and train stations. The rooms were spotless and serviced every day. We had a beautiful view of the mountains from the panoramic windows. Our stay was half board and the food was of good quality and plentiful. A great buffet breakfast with lots of choice and a four course evening meal with a salad buffet and choice of main course. We found it to be great value for money. The staff are so friendly, extremely hard working and cannot do enough for you. The hotel bar is lively and welcoming with a lovely atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our week. Thank you!

Just returned home after a great week staying in the Park Hotel. Everything about the hotel was excellent. Rooms (a bit dated) were comfortable, warm and included a safe. Food was lovely and all the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Hotel is situated downhill about 250 yards from the ski lift.

Stayed here for a week on a learn to ski course and the hotel was perfect. From the warm welcome from all staff, to the spotlessly clean rooms to the fantastic food. What more could you ask for? How about location? Ski hire shop is next door with top of the range equipment, the gondola is a few minutes walk away and ski school meeting point is around a 10 minute walk. The cute town is also within easy walking distance making this the perfect location for a holiday.

A fantastic family run hotel. Don’t hesitate to book this place. It really is a home from home. Nothing is too much trouble. The food and service are superb. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the location is perfect with everything a few minutes walk away. We will be back for sure!

We are visiting for a family ski trip. This hotel is excellent. Most notably all the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern and clean. The food is really good. I love the traditional Austrian vibe to the hotel, and the homely feel. Ski hire is next door, and the main gondola is only a few minutes walk away. I would definitely stay again, and recommend this hotel to others. We’ve had an excellent holiday. Thank you
