Hotel Fischer

We returned to Hotel Fischer 7 years after our first visit in 2019 and we were not disappointed. We decided to return because we had such a wonderful experience the first time we stayed. It is a delightful family run hotel with staff on hand to speak to whenever needed, be it Michael, his wife or Nathan in the bar. The breakfast was so well organised with local fresh produce and the specials on offer were delicious and beautifully presented. The staff at breakfast were gentle friendly and always there to top up coffee and clear away. I noticed how clean and sparkling the eating area was, even down to the highly polished cups, saucers, coffee pots and cutlery; the table looked so inviting each morning. The room was immaculate and so well thought out with the bed being the most comfortable we have slept in. Since we didn't have our children on this stay we went to the Michi's bar more often and it was a fabulous bar run by Nathan who is knowledgeable, fun & makes a great Sartirosa spritz!

Very good rooms, very good service, very good breakfast, friendly staff, nice area for relaxing downstairs, very generous offer of lunch bags from breakfast bar. We had 3 rooms, 2 doubles and a single, and only criticism would be single rooms could do woth a refresh in terms of decor. However, for our 15 year old was fine with a lovely balcony. Another positive is focus on sustainability of produce and environmental impact. We really had a lovely stay!

We had a fantastic time staying at the Fischer Hotel. It was a lovely warm welcome and made feel at home. Everything was found well presented and very clean. The continental breakfast was brilliant with the best tasting rolls I ever had. A very good variety on offer and every day a different, local specialty to try. We even had bacon and eggs - for us British - which was a nice touch. We were always encouraged to help ourself from the breakfast to make ourself lunch boxes to take away for days out. They even offer you wrapping paper and bags for that. The rooms are very clean and the beds comfortable. The bar is a brilliant addition and the barman (Welsh!) is fantastic - given good advise and tips where to go. The position of the hotel is just perfect, in town center - and still very quit. Only a stone throw away from a brilliant outdoor/indoor swimming pool. We had a fantastic stay, lots of trips out and walks and can’t wait to go back.

Hotel Fischer is an amazing place to stay when visiting Sankt Johann and the surrounding area. We stayed 5 nights and absolutely LOVED it! Check in was easy, the room was comfortable, the staff was professional (and friendly), and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. My wife and I loved the central location. Since we stayed 5 nights, we received a Sankt Johann card that allowed us several benefits. We used the card to ride the gondola to the top of the Alps and hiked down. We used the card to also ride the train & buses to hikes and other cities. We strongly recommend Hotel Fischer to anyone who is looking to stay in the Sankt Johann in Tirol valley!

I would give the hotel a score of 6 out of 5 if I could. There is absolutely nothing not to like about Hotel Fischer. We arrived before lunch and our rooms were available. They were all spacious, patio door leading to a large balcony. Very comfy bed and a second pillow was provided as soon as we asked. Bath and shower lovely and always plenty of hot water. No kettle in the room but always easy to make your own tea or coffee in the restaurant if you want it. The rooms are all so clean and the double glazing is great for keeping out the noise of late-night passers by. The staff at the hotel are all lovely. The ladies at breakfast are all helpful and really friendly. Nathan in the bar is great too. Breakfast - brilliant. Lots of choice and all very tasty. The coffee is really good and they will keep bringing fresh if asked. And also, they provide paper bags, napkins and little chocolate treats so you can make yourself a packed lunch. The rolls are so fresh and lots of cheeses, hams and salad to put in them. St Johann - a great resort. We went to Zell am See, Kitzbuhel, Worgl and Kufstein while we were there. Kitzbuhel may be slightly prettier but very busy so we would recommend St Johann as a lovely base. Hotel Fischer is right in the middle of the old town too. Very picturesque with lots of bars, restaurants and cafes. Also very easy access to the train station, bus station and the Harschbichlbahn cable car (which is free with your St Johann guest card) So thank you to all the staff at Hotel Fischer. Amazing value for money and we have a great time. I’m sure we will be back! Quick tip re the St Johann Guest card - train travel is free between Hochfilzen and Worgl. If you are going further, buy tickets beforehand at the (very easy to use) ticket machines at stations. So for Zell am See, buy a return from Hochfilzen (about €8)

Excellent week stay in this hotel. Exceeded expectations. Ideal central location. Clean and spacious rooms. Very hlpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and option to take apacked lunch for the day out.

Very nice, beautiful and cozy family hotel. The owners were very nice and politely. The family room we stayed in, was modern and nice, and the beds were good. We also had a good breakfast at the hotel. And the hotel is in the beautiful center of St. Johann. We would like to come and visit your hotel another time😊

Fantastic location in the heart of idyllic St Johann in Tirol. The room was clean and spacious, and the hotel was always immaculate. The staff were really friendly, helpful and so welcoming an the food was delicious. We could find no faults!
