Hotel Boutique Calas de Alicante

Excellent and thoughtful service and very good fresh food on arrival (as I rested my feet) from busy, talented but busy on his feet Diego and team in lovely Alicante. This picture postcard hotel is perfectly located for the weary traveler. Fresh revitalising and patient. I look forward to spending more time 'poolside' as the NuShoes would say. Thanking you.

Very clean, welcoming and in the perfect location. Situated in a quite area away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. Would definitely recommend as is walking distance from the beach and the perfect view to enjoy the sunset. Breakfast was great with a good choice of food. Only thing I would change is to have tea and coffee to make hot drink in room and not just the kettle and cups.

I stayed at the hotel two and a half weeks while I looked for a permanent location in Alicante. I'd just moved to Spain with my family and large dog (german shepherd), and they were very accommodating and nice. The hotel itself is very nice, I got a room with a pool view and a small balcony, which was where the dog kennel was kept. The room was a bit tiny, but us 2 and the dog were pretty comfy. We were allowed to have breakfast with the dog in an outside dining area as well. I actually went back after my original stay for a two-day stay, and was again very happy :)

They just cancelled my booking 2 days before checking in, despite I‘ve booked it and PAID few months ago! They call it „sorry overbooking“. How come?! How is it even possible! Don’t recommend relying on the hotel definitely! -------------

Fabulous hotel, very clean, quick and efficient staff eg support with setting safe code, providing kettle which wasn’t in the room. We did have to change room after one night at hotels request but compensation provided with free evening meal and 2 for 1 drinks voucher. Room move was hassle free to the ground floor room next door. Very quiet non touristy hotel with plenty of available sun loungers. Lovely pool. Would highly recommend for a short quiet break in the sun if you are not looking for local entertainment.

Great hotel overall. We went on a half board, both the breakfast and dinner were great with plenty of options. The hotel is clean and maintained very well. The location is perfect for walking to a nearby beach or close bus stations for trips to the city centre or other beaches. The hotel is fairly quiet but the rooms facing the main road will be a bit noisier but not to a level that you cannot sleep. The AC in the room is quiet and does a very good job. The rooms are modern and clean. The shower is amazing! The staff were all friendly and there was an understandable language barrier but we were not bothered by that. During our stay, there were more Spanish people so the language barrier is understandable. We mostly went to San Juan beach. It is an enormous beach with plenty of space. Even though we went in July, the beach was not busy/full to the point it became claustrophobic like other beaches. You can rent out beach chairs and beach chairs with umbrellas at a reasonable cost. It is cheaper if you buy for 7+ days. The buses are often, clean and air-conditioned. If you pay in the bus cash or card, the cost is €1.50 per person regardless of your stop. There are bus passes you can buy where the cost is, I think, €8.90 for 10 trips. If we ever come back to Alicante, we would definitely stay at this hotel again.
