Barceló Portinatx - Adults Only

We booked a jacuzzi sea view room which was amazing but our stay would not have been as great had it not been for the Guest Services Manager “Mell”… what a star she is - checking on all the guests, helping the staff in the restaurant when it got too busy at breakfast, and last but not least, making my birthday so special I will never forget it! Breakfast was a tasty treat everyday - so glad this was included. Ruben on reception was also very helpful as were the concierge boys helping with bags. It’s not cheap to stay here but so worth it!

Our second visit to a Barcelo resort and we loved it. Situated in a quiet part of the island, well away from the nightlife, it had all we needed for a week of relaxation. Food and drink choices are great and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The view from our room of the sunset was breathtaking.

The hotel is has a fresh, clean and modern feel which smells incredible as you walk in the front door. It’s the end of the road which means there isn’t loads of passing traffic. It’s has a peaceful, chilled vibe which continues through the hotel and pool area. For us the quiet was appreciated (as it was a rare holiday without the kids) but for some I can imagine it may feel a little too quiet. As we arrived at 9.30pm there was an only couple of guests around and very quiet. There wasn’t much going on in the hotel or the surrounding area. There were two nights of entertainment while we were there, one night and sax player and singer and the second night was a solo singer. Both acts were amazing and we enjoyed the almost 2 hour sets they both played. The pool areas are again quiet but generally play some non-offensive music through the day which again gives a relaxed feel. We never had a problem trying to get a sunbed, there was plenty of room for everyone and the pool was nice and deep 2m at the deep and shallow enough to sit at the shallow end. The staff were all friendly and accommodating and happy to help and have a chat. The bar and restaurant staff were wonderful. The food was nice, breakfast and dinner were served in the main restaurant and lunch in the pool bar. All of a good standard and a nice variety of dishes. The cocktails were amazing and there is a very good selection of drinks included with the all inclusive (basically the whole menu with the exceptions of 2-3 drinks). We didn’t try the beach bar, but you get 20% off the price if you go. To me this seemed pointless for something 20 yards away when you could get it free otherwise. It was a shame this wasn’t included with the hotel all inclusive as it’s obviously part of it. We would highly recommend this hotel and the beautiful Portinatx. It’s a picturesque location and a beautiful bay, the water is gorgeous and the sunset is out of this world. We took our snorkelling bits but only used once as there wasn’t a lot to see. The area is generally quiet and a lot of the shops along the road seem to close early in the evening as well but there are a few nice restaurants to eat out of the hotel if wanted. We took a car out for the day and visited Ibiza town, the hippy market in Las Dalias, Benerris and a few other places too. We also took a boat out from the bay for 4 hours which is a must!! We really enjoyed this and seeing some of the lovely beaches and coves close by. We would definitely return to this hotel and the area and would recommend this for a relaxed holiday and for the beautiful chilled vibe of Ibiza. My only criticism would be the SUP which the hotel offer once a week for eight people. This was fully booked the second we enquired about it and clearly the demand is higher than what they’re able to offer. This was disappointing but we hired them in the local bay anyway. I feel that the hotel could offer more opportunity for this to be included. We met another couple

This was one of our best experiences ever! The rooms are spacious, and the air flows freely through them. They are exceptionally clean and comfortable, with simple but precise furniture, there is a place for everything! The shower outside is essential for a quick rinse after the beach. The pool areas are gorgeous, and the wellness area outside is very inspiring! It's a hidden jewel in one of the most beautiful parts of this magical island. You are surrounded by nature and bird songs! But the best of all are the people who make this place really special! The treatment is a thousand stars, and each individual makes sure you feel unique and well cared for. You come in as a customer and leave with sincere friends. Our manager Mel made sure that we felt the love and care in this place, and we'll forever count her as part of our beloved logical family! Thank you for everything! We'll definitely be back many times!

Great hotel with very friendly staff. We were warmly welcomed and the suite we booked was waiting for us. Rooms were large and comfortable. The food was also great. We would happily return again as soon as we can. A special thank you Ana at the bar, for always remembering our room number and being so kind. Also thanks to Mel who really wanted us to have the perfect stay!

A lovely hotel with great staff who can’t do enough for you. Mel in particular couldn’t do enough to make sure that we had the best possible stay. Room was spacious, cool, and clean. Food was always good. Will definitely return here again in the future
