Inn of the Turquoise Bear

The atmosphere is serene, and attention to detail is superb. The bed was so comfortable, I slept deeply. This was my solo getaway to contemplate, journal and walk around Santa Fe Plaza. I loved every moment, especially the amazing breakfasts with other friendly guests.

Perfect location. Walked to the farmers market and plaza. Drove to canyon road. We were in the unattached building and it was private and comfortable. Shower was huge. Staff was kind and the breakfasts were amazing. Little treats left out were such a nice touch.

Our recent 3 day stay was perfection. We stayed in a suite that was quiet, comfortable and easily accessed. We had a lovely breakfasts of delicious croissants, baked goods, a variety of fruits and juices. The host was charming and accommodating. We can't wait to return!

Our stay at the Inn was perfect in every way. Alex and the team were gracious, thoughtful, and wonderfully welcoming. They were super knowledgeable about Santa Fe and recommended some lovely hikes. Breakfast each morning was delicious! I look forward to visiting again, hopefully soon!

My spouse and I made a first visit to Santa Fe and booked six nights at The Inn of the Turquoise Bear, the historic home of Witter Bynner, poet and champion of the arts. First of all, the Inn itself boasts wonderfully appealing southwestern architecture surrounded by beautiful gardens, a fountain and private sitting areas. Alex and Aline are an abundant source of information as well as breakfast cook extraordinaires. The Inn offers a library of books on the area's Native American population, famous artists and local history. The Inn's owners and staff have compiled day trip suggestions, favorite hikes and restaurants and descriptions of the many area museums. A glorified chex mix, assorted candy, freshly baked cookies and tarts are available all day long as well as coffee, tea with decanters of red and white wine each night at 5pm. Our room was spacious with a porch/balcony and it's own private entrance. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the sheets amazing. The Inn is within walking distance to downtown Santa Fe, but on a quiet side street, away from the tourist crowd. It doesn't get much better!!!

My spouse and I had a wonderful 4 night stay at the "Bear" earlier this month. Alex, Innkeeper and his staff made sure our stay was over the top. During our Fall road trip through the heart of the US we stayed at 3 different B&B's; by far our stay in Santa Fe was most memorable. Make sure you do not miss the breakfast offerings (5 Star ++++). Not your "same old, same old" cookie cutter buffet type breakfast. And for sure do not miss Alex's homemade cookies. Already booked for next Fall.
