The soundproofing in the room was really poor. I could hear every single step from the room upstairs, which was very loud. I stayed in room 314 for two nights. On the first night, there was no noise once the upstairs occupants settled down. However, on the second night, there was a low-frequency vibrating noise coming from somewhere, which severely disrupted my sleep. When I spoke to the front desk, they just apologized and said there were no other rooms available to switch to. It was a very disappointing experience.

Great location close to restaurants, sights, beach, public transport etc. Nice breakfast. Good room service. Friendly and helpful staff. Gym and pool close together.

The location is perfect, it's on the same street as the pier, and even though you have to walk about 10 minutes to get there, you can enjoy the stroll with shops all around. It's the perfect place to stay if you're planning a vacation in Santa Monica. There are many restaurants nearby, and supermarkets like Trader Joe's next door and Target across the street, so I would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Comfortable bed. Small but heated swimming pool. Not the best breakfast choice. Would be good to have more fruits or some veggies/salad bar.
