We recently stayed at Mangia's Sardinia Resort for one week, and unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations. When we arrived at around 3:30 pm, we were told our room was not yet ready, which we completely understood. The reception staff asked us to wait at the bar next to reception and said they would inform us as soon as the room was available. However, after waiting for two and a half hours without any update, we went back to reception ourselves, only to be told that our room had been ready for some time and they had simply forgotten to inform us. This was not a great start to our holiday. We also booked boat trips through the resort for Saturday and Sunday. We were asked to pay for the Sunday trip first because they weren't sure whether the Saturday trip would be available. We were told they would send us a message with an update, but we never received one. The day before, we had to go back to reception to ask again, only to find out that the reception and the boat excursion desk are managed separately, so the reception staff couldn't help us, and by then the excursion desk was already closed. Better communication between departments would have avoided this inconvenience. The resort has four restaurants, but three of them require advance reservations. By the time we arrived on our first day and tried to book, they were already fully booked for most of our stay. Since we were staying for seven nights, it was very disappointing that we were only able to dine at one of the specialty restaurants. Guests staying for a full week should have a better opportunity to experience the different dining options. Finally, we also had a disappointing experience at the Lime Bar. The kitchen officially closes at 5:30 pm, and we arrived at around 5:00 pm hoping to order burgers and sandwiches. We were told they could not accept any more orders because there were already too many in the queue, and they wanted to finish serving by 5:30 pm. It was frustrating to be turned away 30 minutes before the advertised closing time. Overall, while the resort itself is beautiful and has great potential, the organisation and communication between staff and departments need significant improvement. Unfortunately, these repeated issues affected our holiday, and for that reason I cannot say we were fully satisfied with our stay.

Great hotel in a fantastic beachfront location. The hotel was fully booked, but the service staff struggled to cope with the number of guests. Our room wasn't ready until 7:00 PM. When we complained that check-in was advertised as starting at 4:00 PM, we received the awkward reply, "4:00 PM to midnight." The €45 per person for the buffet restaurant was completely disproportionate to the quality. We tried the pizzeria another day. The pizza was good, but the wait of over an hour for two pizzas was unacceptable. The staff was simply overwhelmed and disorganized. The food is overpriced for the quality. At least the breakfast buffet was very extensive, and the service there was good. Such a great resort, high-quality rooms with a great view, direct beach access, plenty of sun loungers. If the service ever improves, this will be a fantastic resort.

We checked in and were put on a golf cart with our luggage. We were taken to park our car and then to our room. There was a nice space with lounges and a table with chairs in front of the room.we walked into a comfortable space for relaxation, tv, a mini bar. Up a few stairs to the bedroom with a king bed. The bathroom was spotless with the best amenities. We were informed that besides breakfast, we were entitled to dinner. Both buffets were delightful. There was a large central area with cold choices, bread and desserts. There was another space with the choices of warm food. The food was delicious with different themes each meal. For instance Saturday night was seafood. The main pool was near the main building and the children’s pool was down on the way to the beach. The private beach had many tables, lounges and umbrellas. This is a gigantic property with continuous vans moving through the property to transport guests around the property. For individual transport there are golf carts to move luggage and help get to the reception and parking. We loved this hotel and the included breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend this resort.

Like any large hotel, this place is made by its people. The facilities and standards are great too (more on that below) but the most memorable experiences this week have been meeting and chatting with the team in the restaurants and bars, who always have time for you. Superstars for us were : Silvana who seemed to be there as front-of-house to welcome us to whichever restaurant we happened to be at, and Lucia who also seemed to be looking after the tables everywhere we went and always had a smile, along with Marta who is always fast and always smiling. Simona on reception was helpful and welcoming on the first day, and Flavio at the beach bar welcomed us and chatted every time we saw him (along with his lovely colleagues who didn’t have name badges!). Thank you all for a great week. The hotel itself is in a great location on the coast, and has a layout which feels confusing for the first few days, made up of corridors and staircases which go up and down near each other, so for a while you think you’ve gone upstairs and downstairs when you could just have gone across.. but actually it’s on a steep hill and there’s a lot of climbing (which you will REALLY feel if you’re in a room in one of the lower sea-facing room) and a lot of stairs. But: there’s a regular little train service which does the full round of the area every 15 minutes, so if you’re not in a hurry then you can wait for that and avoid the hill-climbing. There are (currently) 4 restaurants: the buffet (where everyone has breakfast), the Italian (quite short menu and almost all pizza for main course, but it’s a great pizza), the bistro (more extensive menu, great choice, feels strangely like a canteen though because of the bright lighting and large rectangular space) and the grill down by the beach. This one is outdoor, and at least for now is only open during the day (maybe evenings in busy season?) As we were there in the low season there were way more sunbeds by the pool and beach than there are people who want one, so that was stress-free. In the whole week we only saw one family (guess the nationality..?) who went daily and grabbed two out of five of the largest 4-poster sunbeds before 8am, then didn’t come back until 12, mostly it was a situation of nobody doing that because nobody else was doing that. Busy season is obviously different! Tips: - if you don’t like a hill, or have any difficulty walking generally, do wait for the train. Everybody is out of breath by the top (although you feel like you deserve breakfast) - do get ahead and book restaurants, even in low season, they might look big and empty but that’s no guarantee of a table - check the prices of wine bottle v glass, if you’re paying (rather than all-inclusive) as sometimes it’s cheaper by the glass for the same wine. Also one wine (I think the Nasea) was 27 EUR per bottle in one restaurant and 40 EUR in another for no obvious reason, might just be an error but obvious one to watch out for Two minor poin

I will definitely recommend Mangia’s Sardinia Resort, especially for family stay. Location was perfect to have a trip to Corsica. We stayed from August 27 till September 4, 2026. Atmosphere was charming, the hotel is clean and well furnished. Our room was cozy and comfortable, with beautiful sea view. My experience has been flawless, it was a pleasure to stay there, amenities are beautiful and well cared. The staff was friendly and ready to help. Beach is lovely, the lifeguards make you feel rather safe. I would like to mention a lifeguard who was helpful to me on the last Friday of August, the first half of the day (28th of August), I wish I knew his name. His professional demeanor has been impressive. As for the restaurants, Donna Floriana Bistro was the most enjoyable. I would like to thank the Manager, the staff, especially, Joey, for their great work. Last but not least, I would love to be back.

I must admit I read the reviews on this hotel for about a month before our trip and was a little concerned. However, our stay was truly amazing, there are no complaints at all - it’s everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel and more. The staff are the hotels best assets thst together with the view snd the stunning beach. The food was excellent - loads of choice and very good quality. The room was the best hotel room I have ever stayed in, with a view to surpass all others, cleaned every day and replenished with water, coffee, tea and toiletries. I hope to return very very soon.

My stay fell far below what I expected from a 5-star resort and an Autograph Collection property. The experience was marked by poor organization, an overwhelmed front desk and limited willingness from much of the staff to resolve problems. On my final day, I requested a late check-out and was willing to pay the €60 fee, but it was denied. The refusal itself would have been understandable; what was not acceptable was housekeeping knocking on my door and pressuring me to leave from around 8 a.m., well before the official check-out time. I strongly recommend caution before booking. An experience like this can negatively affect precious days of a holiday. I would not return, and this stay significantly reduced my confidence in the Autograph Collection brand. That said, Roberto and Emilia deserve special recognition. They were excellent, genuinely kind and highly professional, and stood out positively during an otherwise disappointing stay.

We arrived at Mangia’s Sardinia Resort with rather mixed expectations. Having read quite a few critical reviews beforehand, we were genuinely unsure what to expect. We travel extensively and stay in many hotels and resorts throughout the year, so we are probably more critical than the average guest when it comes to service, cleanliness, food and overall quality. Nevertheless, we decided to experience the resort for ourselves – and we are very glad we did. After four days, we honestly cannot relate to many of the negative comments we had read before our stay. Our experience has been extremely positive across the board. The location is beautiful, with wonderful views, and the beach is absolutely lovely. It is very clean, well maintained and regularly looked after. The beach bar is a great addition and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We have also been genuinely impressed by the food. The buffet is varied, fresh and, most importantly, very tasty. The quality has been consistently high throughout our stay. Our room is modern, comfortable and very well maintained. The bathroom feels completely new and contemporary, and housekeeping has been excellent. Our room has been cleaned thoroughly every day and the overall cleanliness of the resort has been very good. Service has also been friendly and attentive, and overall we have simply felt very comfortable here. What perhaps says the most about our experience is this: we arrived somewhat sceptical because of the reviews – and we will definitely be coming back. In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked our next stay for three weeks from now. Sometimes it really is worth making up your own mind. We are very happy that we did.
