Avianto Suites

Avianto Hotel is located in Imerovigli, about 20 to 25-minute walk from Fira. There are a few cafes, Mini Marts nearby, bus stop also within 5min walk. Our hotel room is facing the sea, and we have a very beautiful caldera view. It is the best sea and caldera view compared to Fira and Oia. Hotel staff are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast is great with many choices and is served to our room. Nice stay!

Stayed 4 nights in Room 1. Jr Suite. First, the not so good. The Bed was very hard. I mean VERY hard. Not sure I have ever slept on a bed with such a hard mattress other than falling asleep on the floor. A topper on the mattress would help a ton. Given you spend 1/3 of your time on the bed, this is a pretty big deal. This is what creates the difference between 4 stars and 5 stars. Neither good or bad in my opinion, just some things you should know to level your expectations. The hot tub is not hot. Of course it is also not cold. It is whatever the ambient temp provides to the water at the time you are visiting. Given we were there in July when Santorini is hot and humid, I found the tub water tepid and refreshing. Another FYI is the toilet. No paper is allowed in the toilet. There is a trash can near the toilet. Enough said. Next, the shower handle to turn on the water shows hot (with a red dot on one side of the handle) which happens to be opposite the direction you turn for the hot water. If you can’t get hot water out when you turn on the shower try moving the handle to the opposite direction and let it run a bit. Now the excellent. The location is perfect. Within a very short walk (maybe 100 steps) you have a few small markets for water, cokes, alcohol, snacks, Ice cream, etc. We went to the market everyday to get soft drinks and water and a few times for a bottle of wine, crackers, feta, salami for the sunset. There are a few restaurants around. Nothing like Fira, but who wants to be around the crowds. The rooms at Avianto are very high on the caldera with only the restaurant/bar above you. Below are other rooms belonging to other properties. Looking below you will see small infinity pools that are a part of other places to stay. I would have to think there are nicer rooms and properties that sit below Avianto. However, remember, there is a price for everything. You might look at the Avianto price as expensive. Look around for other hotels (on the caldera) and compare the prices. They can be double, triple or quadruple the price. You might get more of a room with an abundance of amenities for a ton more money. I wanted to be on the caldera with an unforgettable view. Thats what i got, no different than those other really expensive properties. I also got a good size breakfast every morning at the time of my choosing delivered to my room. 8AM, 8:30, 9AM, I think it went to 10. Looking around, I didnt see others, at other properties, getting breakfast served to their rooms. The lady who tends to the rooms and breakfast is a delightful person. The lady who runs (Owner or caretaker) the Avianto is there most days. Also nice and attentive. One word of warning that I think gets misconstrued in some of these reviews. Greeks, Turks and other eastern Europeans, "in general" can be very direct. They are not like Americans where everything is "amazing" or "incredible" all the time. We (Americans) tend t

Avianto Suites is in a perfect location. It is easy to access, with stunning caldera views. You can easily walk to Fira along the beautiful scenic pathway. What sets Avianto Suites apart from the many accommodation places in Imerovigli is the staff. After a long day of travelling it was lovely to be greeted by Vaggelis particularly when I discovered he has visited my home town in Australia. Margarita is an absolute treasure, nothing was too much trouble. She is welcoming and so lovely. The marvellous breakfast was brought to the room by Leta, such a warm and caring person, always smiling. This team of professionals really made my stay exceptional. Highly recommend staying here.

These suites have the best view in Santorini!!! Sweeping views over the hillscape, volcano and Aegean sea. Nice breeze too! Sunsets are the best!! Accommodation is in perfect spot, it is nice and quiet and not as many tourists (compared to Thera/Fira), which is only a 20 minute walk away. Rooms are beautiful, jacuzzi is perfect to relax in & take in the views. (Honestly can't get over how beautiful it was) Housekeeping is so thorough & friendly. Breakfast served to room each day was perfect. There is a bar a couple of levels above which is so handy( also has great views), also you can get cocktails delivered from that bar to your room as it is connected to the suites. Avianto helped book all our airport transfers too, which was very helpful. It is honestly the best spot in Santorini!! We had the best time! A great mix of relaxation & and seeing the sights.

My husband and I were here for our honeymoon and the staff was great. The daily tailored breakfast with a view was lovely, and the room staff was terrific (we loved the towel animals!). It was a great stay, with the only hiccup being trying to reach staff one afternoon. We would definitely stay again.

My girlfriend and I visited Avianto suites for a week this July and we absolutely loved it. The hospitality by the Avianto suites employees was amazing. Every morning breakfast was served with the amazing caldera views. The room was just as expected. It was perfect for us and our stay in Santorini. One thing we loved most about Avianto suites was the easy access as there aren’t many steps to reach the hotel, unlike other hotels which can be at the lower part of the mountain. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone interested in visiting imergovili, Santorini.
