"We’ve just returned from a truly perfect 9-night stay at Katikies Santorini and already wish we were back. From start to finish, everything was faultless. Sofia and the entire team were absolutely brilliant – genuinely warm, attentive without ever being overbearing, and always going the extra mile to make our stay special. The hotel itself is immaculate, beautifully kept, and the views are simply incredible – one of those places that really does live up to the photos (if not exceed them). Waking up to that caldera view each morning never got old. Breakfast was absolutely amazing - one the best! We also found that most guests tend to stay just a night or two and move on quite quickly. Having spent nine nights here, I’d honestly recommend staying at least a week, if not longer, to properly take it all in. It’s one of those places that isn’t meant to be rushed – the pace, the views, the atmosphere all deserve a bit more time. Being among the few guests staying longer really allowed us to appreciate it fully, and it made the whole experience feel that much more special. It’s rare to find somewhere that gets every detail right, but Katikies really does. We felt completely looked after throughout and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. A very special place – we’ll definitely be returning."

"The service experience was great. It was very comfortable to stay in the hotel pool and pool bar. To be honest, the hotel spa is not recommended. The service was good, but the massage was not comfortable. There is a lot of room for improvement. However, the hotel can rent an ATV and it can be delivered, which is very convenient. The breakfast was really large and varied. We did not eat breakfast in the room. The main reason was that the breakfast restaurant environment was very good. Super recommended!"

"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, exceeding all my expectations. The room was incredibly spacious, featuring two bathrooms and showers. It also had a private balcony with stunning views and sun loungers. The breakfast spread was delicious, and enjoying it while overlooking the Aegean Sea was an unbeatable experience. The swimming pool had a comfortable temperature. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly. We stayed for three nights and also visited Oia, but we still felt this hotel offered a quieter location with equally breathtaking views. We took a taxi to and from the airport, costing 35 euros each way. We traveled during the off-season, but the scenery was still spectacular, and the temperature was perfect. Highly recommended!"

"A truly special stay — raw, beautiful, and full of character From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Vincent, the manager, had arranged for a staff member to meet us at the Post Office. From there, we walked the famous donkey path down to the hotel — and honestly, it was one of the most memorable parts of the trip. Stunning views, donkeys along the way — it’s Santorini. If you expect a completely flat walk, you’re in the wrong place. And that’s not the hotel’s problem. I’ve seen reviews complaining about the stairs, calling it dirty or difficult. Having experienced it myself, I can tell you: it’s nothing. A little walk, a little effort — perfectly fine. If someone can’t manage that, they probably shouldn’t be visiting Santorini in the first place. And the hotel already arranged for staff to carry our luggage both ways — so the hard part was handled. The hotel isn’t trying to be some fake luxury resort. It’s authentic, raw, and full of soul. The location is simply the MOST stunning spot in the area — unbeatable for photos and views. We were incredibly fortunate to be given a room with an indoor hot tub. If you’re visiting Santorini in the winter or early spring, this is incredibly important — it’s cold and windy outside to stay long. I searched for a long time and realized there aren’t many places here with an indoor hot tub. The water was exceptionally clean which made all the difference. Deep, warm, and absolutely relaxing on those cooler March days. The room was also well-equipped with everything we needed — toiletries, coffee machine, water, all provided. Visiting Greece this time of year is actually fantastic. Streets are quiet, no crowds. The views are just as stunning, and you don’t have to deal with extreme heat. Of course, the weather is a bit of a gamble — sometimes it rains — but there are always moments of sunshine. And the best part? It’s not as expensive as in the summer. A place like this is an absolute steal. Breakfast was generous, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared with Greet and American to choose from — a great start to each day. If you’re looking for a place with real character, soul, and the most beautiful setting in Oia — this is it. The team was warm and attentive. Genuinely grateful for our stay. Thanks Old Castle Oia!"

"The staff were extremely attentive, from arrival, they were always available to assist. The standard room was quite cramped, but the facilities on the premises were great! The breakfast buffet was absolutely wonderful, high quality and quantity of food. The gym was adequate, enough equipment to keep fit, with someone to help if you needed instruction. The room service was average, they were always willing to clean but when they did clean it wasn't the best job done. The location in Messaria is quite convenient, although the hotel could help arrange taxis but they failed to suggest using the bus which is just down the road. It works out to much cheaper and goes to all the key locations on the island. I would definitely recommend this hotel when going to Santorini, just be smart about it."

"We stayed here while working nearby and it completely exceeded expectations. The whole resort feels freshly renovated with a modern, relaxed atmosphere and everything finished to a really high standard. The rooms are large, luxurious and spotless, with super comfortable beds and everything you could need for a great night’s sleep. The pool area is amazing and beautifully maintained, with plenty of space to unwind after a busy day. The beach is just a short walk away and makes the location even better. The gym was ideal for me, well equipped and clean, which was a big plus during a long stay. Service before arrival and throughout our time here was genuinely five star. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive and professional. The food was incredible every day and the breakfast selection was one of the best I have had anywhere. Amária Beach Resort is a place I would return to in a heartbeat, the perfect mix of comfort, service and style."
