My family and I booked a room with a 180-degree sea view. We were given a suite on the top floor. The room we booked looked quite fresh and renovated in the photos. The suite was spacious, the sea view was gorgeous, but the room itself was outdated and in need of cosmetic repairs. The room was also quite dirty, especially the floor, which had not been cleaned after the room was cleaned (see the photo of my feet after 10 minutes in the room after taking a shower, and the photo of the floor immediately after cleaning). The breakfasts at the hotel are normal, moderately varied for this money. Also slightly overshadowed the impression of the stay the following fact: we were delayed on Hainan for 2 days for certain reasons, and for this period of time booked this hotel. Before settling, I approached the reception, said that we were supposed to fly today, but remained on the island for another day, and asked if we should notify the migration service about this, despite the fact that there was a visa-free regime between our countries. The receptionist said that I had to go to the migration department right away to report my extended stay on the island, or they wouldn't let me stay at the hotel. I took a taxi to the designated address, but when I arrived, the department was closed because it was Sunday. When I returned to the hotel, the receptionist told me that she had forgotten that it was Sunday. Despite the fact that we were traveling with a child, they refused to let us stay at the hotel without notifying the migration department. After 1.5 hours, they checked us in on the condition that we would go to the migration office in the early morning. However, after consulting with lawyers, I found out that since our countries have a visa-free regime, we do not need to notify the authorities if we stay in China for up to 30 days. As a result, we were able to fly home a day later without any issues.
