Sanya Marriott Yalong Bay Resort & Spa

Let's start with the positives: 1️⃣ We booked a deluxe full sea-view room, and the ocean view was indeed impressive. 2️⃣ The public areas are beautiful, as shown in the pictures. Now for the negatives: 1️⃣ The room was very small, a significant downgrade compared to the Autograph Collection hotel we stayed at in Dadonghai the day before. 2️⃣ The hotel's breakfast was quite mediocre, nothing special, and personally, I didn't find it very tasty. 3️⃣ We had to pick up our own food deliveries, which was the most frustrating part.

Highly recommended! Our family had a truly wonderful and comfortable stay at the Sanya Yalong Bay Marriott Resort. The hotel offers direct beach access, with fine sand and incredibly clear water – the kids absolutely loved it. A special shout-out to Egret for patiently answering all our questions throughout our stay. Their prompt responses, thoughtfulness, and attentiveness added so much to our vacation experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the surroundings were beautiful. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit Sanya!

The hotel has a good variety of activities and a large, clean pool with plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing. The service is also excellent and responsive, maintaining high quality even with a lot of guests. Breakfast offers a rich selection and good taste, and the Chinese restaurant's chef is very skilled.

The service was top-notch, with every staff member greeting guests with a genuine smile that made us feel right at home. The hotel's private beach was incredibly picturesque, and the unbeatable ocean views were stunningly blue even without filters. Surfing in the sea was an absolute blast! After two days of fun, I even lost my longing for the ocean when I visited Wuzhizhou Island today. The hotel also has many activities perfect for kids, making it super easy to entertain them. The beachcombing activity was a lot of fun, and we even caught some small crabs 🦀. A special thanks to our customer service specialist for their excellent professionalism. This is a truly heartfelt review, and I'll definitely choose Marriott again if I come back to Sanya.

The hotel is very close to the beach, and the public areas are well-maintained. The swimming pools are all kid-friendly, with various shapes and a maximum depth of 1.2 meters, so it's not ideal if you're looking for a proper swim. I was a bit envious of the Sheraton next door, which has an adult pool with lanes. The room itself was clean and tidy, but the style felt more like a budget hotel and it was quite small, not really like a resort. Coming from Haitang Bay, there was definitely a sense of disappointment. Breakfast was pretty good, with a wide variety of options, and some dishes and desserts rotated daily. Dinner was also very tasty! Oh, and the coconut wasn't very good… The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Johnny, who was attentive and efficient. Right outside is a food street, which is really convenient if you want to eat at a seafood stall, and the prices are quite reasonable. There's also a supermarket.

I did a lot of research before coming to Yalong Bay, choosing between Hilton, Sheraton, and Marriott. I ended up picking Marriott, and it seems my research paid off! The lobby is spacious, and the public areas are beautiful. They originally offered me a sea-view room with a better location, but I didn't want to wait during check-in. I later found out the view from my room was still pretty good. The best part about the room is truly how quiet it is, which was a blessing for us since we're particular about our sleep. The front desk staff was very helpful, and the concierge service was prompt. Breakfast was also quite rich. The only slight drawback is that the room facilities aren't as modern. Another great point is the shower pressure – it's fantastic! I could definitely come back for another week next time. Giving it a 5-star rating!

This stay at the Yalong Bay Marriott with my five-year-old was a fantastic experience. The hotel's gardens are meticulously maintained, with sprawling lawns and tall coconut trees, offering stunning, healing ocean views everywhere you look. Just steps outside, you'll find a soft, private beach with clear waters, perfect for kids to play in the waves. The lobby is sophisticated and comfortable, with complete and thoughtful facilities. The staff are all kind and friendly. The overall environment is clean and elegant, making it ideal for a family trip.

I was lucky enough to get an upgrade to a sea-view room. Upon check-in, there's a lovely little welcome ceremony that really makes you feel at home. The room itself is quite spacious, and there's a balcony with a clothes rack, which is super important for an island vacation. Waking up to the sea view is absolutely refreshing. The hotel has a decent-sized pool, and you can rent inflatable floats for free. The beach is just a short walk away, which is incredibly convenient, and you can even catch small crabs in the evening. The hotel offers a packed schedule of family activities daily; kids definitely won't get bored even if they stay for a week, as the days are full of engaging programs. Plus, there's free unlimited ice cream from 2 PM to 4 PM. I did have an unpleasant incident in the middle of my stay, which cost me some money, but when I sought help from the hotel staff, they went above and beyond to assist me and eventually helped me recover my losses. I'm truly grateful for their help, which goes to show how important it is to choose a reliable and large-scale hotel. Breakfast is also very rich and includes some local Sanya specialties like Zao Po Cu (sour soup), among other things. The hotel also has several of its own restaurants, so you can easily have all three meals here. Most importantly, the environment is truly excellent, and the hotel feels very new. This will definitely be my top choice for my next visit to Yalong Bay.

This is my second stay at the Marriott, and I've been dreaming about it since my last visit two years ago, so I'm back this year! The hotel's hardware facilities like the rooms, pool, and restaurants are pretty much the same as two years ago, but the service this year is even better. Any issues can be resolved by contacting the butler or the 'For You' service center. The night before, I asked the hotel for a few hangers to dry clothes, and the next day, when the cleaning lady saw my hangers were full, she brought me many more. Such thoughtfulness! 👍 The hotel's 'Deep Sleep Workshop' activity was also quite interesting. Very satisfied!
