InterContinental Hotels SANYA HAITANG BAY RESORT by IHG

My InterContinental Resort stay was fantastic this time. First, a big thanks to our butler, Bonnie Tan, for upgrading us to a Deluxe Seaview room. We could see the ocean and the sunrise, although it was a pity that heavy rain the first two days made the nearshore waters murky. As of now, after two days, the yellowish area has reduced by about a third; I estimate it will take a week to fully clear up. Yesterday, the sunrise was partly obscured by clouds, but it was still beautiful. The room layout was excellent, very spacious with a wide open plan. The bathroom had two sinks and a vanity, and the shower faced the sea, perfect for watching the sunrise in the morning. The bathtub was on the balcony; if I had stayed another day, I definitely would have enjoyed it. The Tianfu Chinese restaurant was delicious. They had a great value couple's set menu. The Crispy Pork Sandwich was perfect for those with a taste from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. The grouper felt like it weighed a pound, and the chicken fat rice was so good I posted about it on both Dianping and Xiaohongshu. Other à la carte dishes were a bit pricey, probably 300-400 RMB per person. The tennis court was affordable at 180 RMB an hour, including rackets. They were all Wilson rackets; I couldn't identify the model but definitely not the Clash series. There were two with thin grips and two with thicker ones. Like the court itself, they were quite old. The pink thin-grip one I used felt like the strings were a bit loose, not as tight as the blue thin-grip one. The staff also set up a table and chairs, providing towels and water, which was a nice touch. The hotel lobby had a very high ceiling, grand decor, and an expansive space that was truly refreshing, much better than the feeling I got at the Yalong Bay Marriott. All the staff were friendly and greeted guests, and service was very responsive, including the front desk, lobby, Tianfu Bay restaurant, family pool, tennis court, and even the maintenance staff on the beach 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This is our third stay at the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay Resort, and as always, the service was excellent. Our butler, Bobby Chen, contacted us in advance to confirm our arrival time and room preferences. He arranged a fantastic room with impeccable cleanliness. Throughout our stay, he was always responsive to our requests. Five-star rating! This time, we took our child for a diving experience. The instructor was very professional and patient; my 8-year-old daughter adapted perfectly and had a great time. The mermaid show at the underwater restaurant actually has a clearer view during the day. Lunch is a set menu, but the taste is quite good. We'll definitely stay at the InterContinental again next time; the service truly makes for a hassle-free experience!

This time in Sanya, choosing the InterContinental Haitang Bay was definitely a good decision! 🌊 The hotel is located at 128 Haitang North Road, right next to the CDF Duty-Free Mall, so you can walk to go shopping. It's super convenient for a relaxing vacation. The basic rooms start at 88 sqm, with a balcony where you can see the ocean and fall asleep to the sound of waves. The overall island vibe is very relaxed. The over 2000 sqm pool is divided into standard, family, and kids' zones. If you're bringing children, you can take them to the Planet Trekkers kids' club, which has slides, trampolines, and rope nets. If you don't have kids, you can just lounge by the main pool or on the lawn for some great photo opportunities. The biggest surprise was our butler, Zoe – she proactively added me on WeChat before our arrival, asking about room preferences, our children's ages, and if we needed a crib, kids' slippers, or bathrobes. When we arrived, she helped us get a higher floor with an ocean view. After check-in, she followed up on our needs daily, effortlessly booking the 'Tao' Ocean Restaurant, mermaid shows, and kids' activities. One day, I wanted to arrange a late check-out and a car service, and Zoe sorted it all out in minutes, even sending welcome fruits and coconuts. Good hardware is a given, but it's Zoe's 'anticipating your needs' kind of service that truly made this vacation stress-free. Next time I'm in Haitang Bay, I'll definitely stick with InterContinental and specifically request Zoe! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Although the hotel is a bit old, the hygiene and facilities are good, and the view is also nice. The coconut chicken was delicious! It's super close to the duty-free shop, with a dedicated passage to get there. The beach is very therapeutic, and playing in the outdoor pool was quite fun! Communication with Cherry was also very smooth, and she was able to meet our needs in a timely manner.

We stayed at the Intercontinental in late March, and my daughter absolutely loved it. So, we decided to come back for a second visit during the Mid-Autumn Festival. I contacted our butler, Lucas, beforehand, and to my pleasant surprise, we were upgraded to a suite with a huge balcony – what a treat! The underwater restaurant, the coconut chicken, and the incredibly rich breakfast every morning were all fantastic. The kids' club activities were abundant, and the pool was very clean. During the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays, the hotel even organized events like firework displays. All in all, both adults and children were completely satisfied. We're already looking forward to our third visit!

I was very satisfied with this vacation. I'd never stayed in Haitang Bay before, and for my first time, I chose the InterContinental. Before check-in, Bonnie added me on WeChat in advance. When I checked in, the high-floor, central room I wanted wasn't available, but Bonnie reserved it for me the next day. I'm very grateful! The room was very spacious, and the service response was super fast. My baby went to the club for activities every day after breakfast and even received a mermaid doll when we left. Overall, the quality was excellent, and I'm very happy. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Haitang Bay!

First, the downside: after the typhoon, the sea was a bit murky and the beach was dirty... But everything else was full of positives! The room was spacious and very comfortable. The room was great, super spacious, with an amazing sea view. The underwater restaurant was also beautiful, and you could even bring kids to feed the sea turtles. The hotel offered many activities, and the service was excellent. Messages were answered quickly, and if you needed anything delivered, just tell the butler and it would arrive shortly. The hotel also had its own takeout service with good food. Before leaving, we even received a mermaid doll. If you're coming with kids, this is definitely the place to be. The mini-train to the beach offered convenient round-trip transfers.

Traveling with kids, the environment and hygiene were excellent. They replenished supplies and cleaned daily. The 88-square-meter room offered an unbeatable sea view. There were plenty of activities for children, and free sand-digging tools were available at the beach. It's right next to the duty-free shop, making shopping and dining very convenient. The butler was very kind. Originally, the mermaid doll required children to earn points by participating in activities, but since our child was quite young, the butler helped us apply for it directly after understanding the situation. Our child was absolutely thrilled!
