As they say: You generally know what you will get when you opt for an Ibis Hotel. The hotel is centrally located. You have quick access to public transportation, a 24 hour store across the street, a mini-fridge, excellent AC, a tv with CNN in English and a French channel. The breakfast was excellent. Each day had some different cold and hot options. They had gluten free bread as well. In our case, the room was immaculate and the staff cleaned it well all week. Where we were not as thrilled is that we were told that it was a king size bed but it is barely a queen size bed. In terms of toiletries; it is the minimum. We would have appreciated more than 2 towels since I used them on top of the cardboard pillows. Other Ibis offer courtesy water bottled when you arrive. But this one did not even have glasses. I was surprised that there was nobody who spoke English at the front desk. We needed a doctor and it was a young guest of the hotel who helped us. To top if off, our luggage were lost so we were trying to tell them to let us know as soon as they arrive. We finally checked in. Google translated it and brought the translation downstairs. We might be wrong to expect English to be spoken but we have been all over the world using Accor and never had that problem.

Very satisfied, the hotel has breakfast, lunch and dinner. It tastes good and not very expensive. There are also restaurants nearby, ranging from low-end to high-end. There is parking lot. The location of the hotel is good.

The Panamby used to be a Great Western where you could stay one night and park for free up to 14 days with a free shuttle bus to the airport 15 minutes away. Then it became the Panamby and they withdrew the free parking and charged 15 reais a night. Last time it was 30 reais a night. Note the room rate does not include parking so always add another 30 reais to your costs. Year by year the prices have gone up but not the quality or the amenities. Last time we stayed, little things had disappeared like free iced water in reception, a pen and paper and glasses in the rooms. The soap has halved, the towels have longevity, being as old as the hotel, a great advert for the towels but not the hotel. The free breakfast is a comprehensive buffet of hot and cold but do not expect quality, just quantity. The food is average at best, so you eat rather than dine. Staff can vary from being friendly to abrupt. Unfortunate;ly this year the prices have suffered yet another large increase so we will look elsewhere to stay.

We are in a combined room, two rooms with a couple bed and two single beds. Positive points: comfortable, spacious accommodation. It has shampoo and free conditioning and good shower. We need to print a voucher and the reception staff were gentle and helped us promptly. In addition to the common areas, you only travel by your floor (to use the lift you need to have the card). Negative points: Surface cleaning in the room. My daughter used a hair thread on the floor of the room, and the hair was unclean; and I found hair thread on the floor as soon as I arrived; and the bed clothes are rough, old and yellow; and the hairs are bad. Hotel meets the requirements. In my single room (1109) I only had a problem with the shower, which in the first bath did not heat up properly and when it did, the water was very weak. I had to keep looking for the right register to open everything and leave the shower decent, which I couldn't do the first time. Good bed, clean bedding, good arrangement of sockets, good hair dryer, ok towels. Acoustic insulation is not strong. It was possible, from the bathroom, to quietly hear the neighboring guests. Breakfast was good, with the exception of the hot drink machines, where the ”mocaccino” was very weak. Friendly staff and ok cleanliness. I recommend.

The hotel offers a fair price. The accommodation is simple, the room is well clean, comfortable beds, the cleaning service is performed every day. Excellent service for all staff. I didn't use breakfast, so I can't evaluate it.
