Emoyeni Gardens

If you are looking for a luxury hotel with many amenities, this place is not for you. However... if you are looking for a simple, clean, cared for place with friendly staff and a proprietor who goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable, this is where you want to be. I just returned from a week at Emoyeni Gardens. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk to the center of São Tomé, depending on where you are going. My room was very pleasant and a good size. The pool area at the hotel is not huge, but quite lovely. The garden is well-tended and neat. Breakfast at the hotel was very simple, but fine. There is a small beach just across the road from the front of the hotel - it's fine for a little jump in the ocean for a few minutes, but probably not spending hours.

Immaculately clean and well maintained hotel with a beautiful garden and pool. Our room was spacious with efficient air conditioning, and a modern en suite bathroom. The WiFi was excellent. The staff were kind and helpful; ordering taxis, recommending restaurants and beaches and even allowing us to check out late, enabling us to have a relaxing final day. We would not hesitate to recommend this charming hotel

Well-run hotel with friendly and accommodating hosts. Uniquely in our experience of the third world (and unusual even in Europe), everything is in proper working order – good air-conditioning, excellent shower, lights and plug points all work as they should. Good breakfast, no restaurant but two good facilities within 400 metres (Papa-Figo local restaurant is deservedly popular, while Pestana hotel offers western food and snacks).

The room is small, and no wardrobe, but both room and the bath is very clean. The Aircontitioner is perfect working. You can reach everything per food. Some really good restaurants and bars are near. The garden and the pool are really lovely. The breakfast is in my opinion to simple but ok. Soluble Coffee instead of regional Coffee is really not nessesary

We selected the deluxe room however I was genuinely questioning where that label came into play.....there were no tea and coffee making facilities, no toiletries and the veranda whilst having a sea view could only be seen if you stood up othwise sadly you would be looking at a wall. The staff were friendly and helpful plus the breakfast was fabulous especially the fresh fruit salad. Internet was accessible throughout the hotel albeit a little sketchy by the pool area. Parking available at the front and the hotel was conveniently located to the worth visiting Papa Figo restaurant.

This is a very comfortable hotel with beautiful gardens and a small, very clean, swimming pool. Our first floor room looked out to sea and everything worked - air con, kettle (available on request), fridge, safe, hot water. The hotel is well located for town - 5 to 10 minute walk away - and in a very quiet area. There is a small bar if you fancy a drink in the garden but no restaurant. The €10 breakfast is a very basic buffet and poor value for money. A short walk along the beach road gets you to Passante's shady terrace for good coffee and pastries at half the price (opens at 8:00 daily).
