This is the first time I have ever written a negative review for a hotel, especially a Japanese hotel. I can't express how disappointed I am with the level of service we received. Unfortunately, it felt like the hotel was not foreigner-friendly, as our concerns and requests were repeatedly ignored. Although Suirei Suite is marketed as a premium accommodation, it is not a standalone new hotel and shares all of its facilities with Jozenkai View Hotel, which appears to mainly cater to large tour groups. We were directed to a separate "premium" check-in counter, but there was no welcome drink or special hospitality. More disappointingly, the staff could not clearly explain our meal plan or provide accurate information about our stay. On our first evening, we found our own way to the French-Japanese restaurant. The restaurant staff were friendly, polite, and genuinely helpful. However, because we had not been provided with the menu in advance, we only discovered upon arrival that several dishes contained ingredients we could not consume due to religious restrictions and food allergies. The restaurant staff were understanding and willing to accommodate our dietary requirements, but to avoid any inconvenience, we decided to change both our breakfast and second night's dinner to the standard buffet. Unfortunately, the buffet breakfast was another disappointment. The dining area was extremely crowded and chaotic, likely because it was shared with guests from the larger hotel. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, but many appeared to be pre-prepared or mass-produced rather than freshly made. While there was plenty of food available, the overall quality did not meet the standard we expected from a hotel positioning itself as a premium Japanese property. The food lacked freshness and refinement, making the breakfast experience feel more like a large tour-group cafeteria than a luxury hotel. After having breakfast at the buffet on our first morning, our family decided that we would prefer to return to the French restaurant for dinner that evening and breakfast the following day. We visited the front desk at 9:00 a.m. to make this request. To our surprise, we were told that neither change could be accommodated because of ingredient preparation requirements. I completely understand if it was too late to change the dinner reservation on the same day. However, it is unreasonable that our request for breakfast the following morning—more than 24 hours in advance—was also rejected. There was no effort to offer an alternative solution or explain the situation in a way that made sense. It simply felt like our requests were dismissed. I wrote to the hotel on the very same day to express our concerns and seek clarification. Unfortunately, our message was completely ignored. We did not receive any acknowledgment, response, or follow-up during our stay. For a hotel that claims to provide premium service, this lack of communication and concern for guest feedback was extremely disappointing. Overall, while the restaurant staff provided warm and attentive service, the front desk and guest services were disappointing. For a hotel that promotes itself as a premium Japanese hospitality experience, I expected much better communication, flexibility, and consideration for international guests. Sadly, this experience fell far short of those expectations.

The hotel has been renovated, so the rooms are new and clean. However, the onsen is old.

We had a three-day family vacation. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone; I give it a solid 5+! We walked around the area, and I think this is one of the best hotels here! The hotel has excellent restaurants, from casual local cuisine to haute French cuisine. 👍🏻 I'd also like to highlight the brand new rooms with their luxurious, modern renovations! I recommend the top floors, 15th and 16th, which offer magnificent views of the mountains and surrounding area! On the 16th floor, there's a separate lounge for visitors, where you can relax in a quiet, cozy atmosphere and enjoy fresh draft beer, wine, coffee, tea, and other drinks absolutely free! Light snacks are also included! Everything is absolutely free, and you can have as much as you want; access is with your room card. I highly recommend this hotel! 👍🏻

The rooms are spacious, with an indoor bathtub, stunning views, and complete amenities. If you stay in the Executive Suit, you can enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks in the lounge, and alcohol is unlimited. The buffet food is delicious and varied. The entertainment facilities are a pleasant surprise, with ping pong and claw machines – a mini version of Gigo! The shops offer a wide variety of goods, including toys for children. The open-air bath offers snow-capped mountain views, allowing you to soak in the hot spring while a blizzard blows on your face. Even the indoor baths offer beautiful snow-capped mountain views. A shuttle bus to Sapporo is provided, which is very convenient. Although the room rate isn't cheap, it's well worth the price.

An impeccable stay! The Executive Suite had a special check-in area, and the service was attentive and made me feel right at home. The suite was spacious and well-equipped with modern amenities, and I could freely enjoy the hotel's spa and lounge (which offered alcohol, coffee, and snacks). Dinner and breakfast were included, and the food was exquisite and delicious. The service was excellent, and I highly recommend it!

It is a wonderful hotel room where you can feel the winter atmosphere. The hotel is a bit dated, but since all the suites are suites, the rooms are absolutely fantastic.

The hotel rooms are spacious with great views and have a dedicated chicken counter. There's a free lounge on the 16th floor with drinks, coffee, red and white wine, sake and beer, nuts and snacks... The Japanese and French dishes served with chopsticks were amazing, and the service was excellent.
