The camp itself is really nice. Check in was good and prompt and the walk in was long but the surroundings are really nice. Pool areas are very nice and not once did we fail to get a decent set of beds by the pool. The pools were clean and the slides were fun for our kids. The supermarket on site was ok, quite expensive for some items but generally ok. Food onsite was nice but very overpriced for what you get. The pizza place is very good by the main bar and the restaurant is also nice however we felt the food in imassimo was poor. Food trucks were nice but after a week the lack of variety was starting to show. The animation team were friendly and entertained the kids. It isn't top class entertainment but they give it their all. Bars on site are really expensive. A plastic cup of beer costs 6 euro and it is not even a pint. The entertainment at night was very good some nights and ok other nights. The cabins are also nice and the decking and BBQ all good. Staff in general were very pleasant and good at what they did. On check out at 10am we wanted to go back in to get a ticket to go to San Vincenzo on the bus and we were refused and they rudely asked us for our wristbands and she cut them off with a smirk on her face as if we were going to go back in against their wishes. Very rude treatment after spending close to 6000 euro to stay and live there for 2 weeks. To add insult to injury she then said if I bought tickets before I handed her my key then I would be left back in to get the bus. Makes absolutely no sense and horrible treatment. This left myself my wife and 3 kids in the baking sun trying to get a taxi. That experience left a very sour taste after what was an otherwise very pleasant vacation. I should give 3 stars for how poorly we were treated but the park is lovely and the other staff were pleasant so I don't want to be harsh.

This is a very large, clean, well maintained campsite with excellent facilities which is great for families. Flying into Pisa, it's about an hour away, located in a pine forest on the Tuscan coast. You can get to the local town by train but we opted for the lazy option of private transfer. We used a local taxi driver for this recommended by the site. We booked direct with Hu and I would definitely recommend this. We are a family of 6 eldest child is 18 (not a child really) down to 7. This was our 2nd visit to this site and 3rd stay with Hu (previous site was Norcenni - also recommended). On each occasion I emailed the site in advance to request a central plot and they have always done their best to accommodate. Check in is at 4 and I knew we would arrive earlier so emailed the week before to ask can we store bags, use pools etc and told that facilities were available for us to use. Delighted to be told our accomodation was available early so we could go unpack etc. This year we stayed in a Hu Premium XL which has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was a very new mobile and came with a bbq but no oven Last year we stayed in a Hu Stay Easy XL and that had no BBQ.  As I said the site is very large but flat so easy enough to walk around. There are bikes for hire and loads of bikes, scooters etc on site. There is also a little train that goes around the site with a few stops.  Technically you can walk to the beach from the site but we are lazy so didn't do it. Saw loads of others make the trek though so must be ok!  There are 7 pools in total all in one complex split into 3 areas, each with bar/cafe/toilets etc. 4 of the pools are shallow lagoon type with a soft base, a few small slides, some hills and splashy bits. Great for young kids but also enough space for older kids (and grown ups) to play ball games etc. 2 standard pools about 1.2m and another very small pool in the shade. The big pools get very busy. Floaties/inflatables are also allowed which is great. You can always get a sunbed regardless of when you go down which is brilliant. I hate that mad dash for beds in the morning.  There are loads of on site activities including a kids club but we didn't engage with any of those.  There's a few cafe/snacks bars, one main sit down restaurant, 2 pizzarias and multiple food trucks (burgers, chicken, porchetta rolls, pasta, Tex Mex). They are all pricey enough (€5 for chips, €9 for nuggets) except the pizzas which were priced €10/12 and were filling and delicious. Tex Mex wasn't great but you don't go to Italy for that so that was our mistake. Pasta was lovely but Italian 1st course portion size so small for us. Porcetta rolls from the truck were amazing. That one is beside the pool and we only tried the last day - raging. Rodriguez restaurant was hit and miss. Grilled meats and pizza was good but pasta was disappointing and staff seemed very inexperienced. Our first night they gave us about 2 minutes to look at the menu and the last night they lande

Fantastic campsite i can highly recommend it. The pool area is great loads of deck chairs never an issue getting one at any point of the day. Staff were brilliant so friendly and helpful clearly very well trained. Booked directly with the site and the mobile was great nice and clean and good value.

When we arrived at the Park Albatross campsite on 29th June, we were told by the Venue Holidays reps (They are a partner of Vacanceselect) that our check out on the 6th July had to be between 8am and 10am. When I referenced that we had an early flight that required us to leave before 7am, they responded that this was not possible. They suggested organising the check out the night before but then proceeded to tell me that we would then not be able to stay in the accommodation that evening (which we have already paid for). I was shocked by their inflexibility and lack of customer centric service to accommodate a basic customer requirement which is obviously a fairly standard request. Luckily, my brother in law was also staying at the campsite and not leaving until Monday 7th July. So, he was able to be present on our behalf when the check out was being conducted. He rang us sometime later to inform us that the Venue Holiday team had decided to with hold our €100 deposit on the premise that there were hairs on the floor. I can tell you, that before we left, we cleaned out the fridge, got rid of all of the rubbish, washed down the showers, washed down the surfaces and brushed the floors. So, to be told that because there were hairs on the floor, was an absolute disgrace. When I rang Venue Holidays from the airport, they told me they had a video to prove the so called untidy state of the cabin. I never received the video. My brother in law actually reckoned that their approach suggested that they were looking for reasons not to give back the deposit. That might seem paranoid but my brother in law is not someone who is easily given over to sensationalism. In all of my years, travelling with my family, I have never experienced anything quite like it. At this point, I can never recommend Vacanceselect to anyone based on the treatment we received.

We spent a week here as a family of 5 and really enjoyed it. The camp is clean and there’s lots to do and not too big. The pools are busy but it was easy to get loungers together without the early morning rush. Definitely need AC in your cabin as it is very hot. The restaurants and take always are reasonable prized. The supermarket is excellent and very well stocked. Don’t waste time checking around for a better store you won’t find it! Would definitely return.

This is my second stay at Hu Albatros camp leaving me with mixed feelings. We love the area, plenty of sun, plenty of activities, big supermarket to avoid shopping around. Nice set of restaurants with decent choices of food. Compared to Ireland, the prices are even 1/2 cheaper, especially pizzas. The pools in the camp are great, perfect and safe for kids. So, why then "mixed" feelings: - smoking at pools and everywhere in the restaurants and activities areas. That's either smoking and vaping, either walking or standing, sitting and so on. The management of the camp allows it, so it is a great camp for smokers - I'm not going to preach about it, and as a non-smoker you're left to either fight for your space or simply leave and move until you you encounter the same in the next 10 or 15 or 30tish minutes - dogs. I do not mind dogs but their owners taking them everywhere. In fairness I haven't seen them in the pool areas but everywhere else, including the supermarket And imagine them weeing in front of your mobile home, one after other "marking" their presence. Even a poo was left in front of the food shop next to the kids 2 pools, people stepping on it and walking in the pools. Took a few hours before it was cleaned by poor food shop owner - electric scooters. Max permitted speed in the camp is 5km/h for cars but that doesn't apply for scooters running 30tish km/h. Haven't witnessed any accidents but I might have missed it either. And yes, there is the sign for scooters to not be used in pool areas but you can see them running there too These are my three main complaints about this Hu camp and I'll need to carefully re-think what should be my choice for the next year. Now, it's time to move to other spot as 2 smokers are laying next to me smoking...

Bad WiFi. Wifi doesn't work properly all over the park. This should be fixed. We stayed 16 days. Wifi worked only two frst 2 days. It is a problem when you are staying with teenagers or when it rains. Besides that it is okay. The park shop is very good.
