Best Western Sault Ste. Marie

Visited my best friend and Sault Ste. Marie and stayed here. Check in was easy and the rooms were very clean and neat. Air conditioner, toilet, and shower worked well.

Had to ask to be moved from the first room. Air conditioner was blowing hot air and noisy. Desk was rude and unhelpful. Check out desk person was clueless. Breakfast looked good and well stocked.

This was unique and a blessing! I LOVE that they provided bibles in each room! The Gideons will do that for free! There are some that dont allow the Gideons to do this, please encourage them. This hotel does! They are receptive and friendly also:-)

Ease of check in and out. Loved the beds. Had to ask for tissues and hand soap. Staff very responsive. Late crowd came to breakfast at 9:00, when breakfast was closing. They brought more food and kept serving.

Our room had no cups, no coffee or supplies. However Theresa made it right and rexucrd our fees a bit.

Unfortunately this property was not maintained, the pool was cloudy and over saturated with chemicals which it looked green, the sauna was not in working order as well.Breakfast buffet was not kept up with little to no food and what was there was cold or dried out. The best I can say is the staff was polite

Parking was good and convenient, the bed and pillows were comfy but the tub wouldn't drain well, the pool was green, the sauna didn’t work and the coffee and juices for breakfast was watery. Stay could have been better for the price paid.

The hotel lobby looked like a storage area. I'm not sure if they're remodeling or not. The building could use some TLC, but our room seemed to be clean. The breakfast had quite a few options and there was someone keeping things stocked. It reminded me of any Best Western I've ever stayed at, kind of old and worn. The biggest concern for me was the sign on a door next to the lobby that said, "Door is not locked, turn handle and pull." It was a door that should have been locked for after hours entry. This is the second Best Western that I have seen an entry door that isn't locked when it should have been.

The room was perfectly clean and functional, exactly what I needed. The breakfast was a terrible let down though - cold sausage, brown water pretending to be coffee and I didn’t dare try the rest. I’d recommend it as an easy stop, but Applebees is probably a better bet for food.
