The Hotel Ojibway, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

Room was very poorly maintained. Carpets were in poor shape. Bathroom tiles were stained and wreaked of build up from soap scum. Front desk staff was least concerned about someone in line, but striking up conversation with someone they may have been a guest before. Checking in guests breaking lines or showing up at the second counter.

Bad breakfast selection as many have said. Apparently hotel doesn't worry about it. Great location but outdated. Slow draining sinks, loud bath fan. AC wasn't keeping up the 1st night, later redeemed itself. Staff was friendly. Clean so can't complain for price we paid and location.

The air conditioning in our room wasn't working, we were told it was because it was an old building and there wasn't anything they can do. We did receive a dirty fan from the laundry room. We were also on a street facing room with young children, so having to windows open for a breeze was not a good option. There were stains on the floor. We were told there was a free continental breakfast, we got down there around 8:00 am. We were told breakfast went until 10:30, but when we got there, there were only 2 milks left, along with stale cereal. I asked about getting more milk and the desk said they "ran out yesterday." We were very excited anticipating this stay, and it was nothing more than a huge disappointment and let-down.

We enjoyed our stay VERY much!! What a quaint hotel with a lot of history. Conveniently located downtown next to the locks and viewing area. Our room was exceptionally comfortable, spacious, and clean!! I LOVE the fact that our room on the 6th (top) floor only had 10 rooms as did the 5th floor. Very quiet!! The hotel staff was very friendly especially the front desk clerk at check in on July 3 and the bartender on the 4th of July! Someone was always cleaning….floors, windows, etc. We noticed and probably due to high volume of visitors for the 4th of July: no air conditioning in the lobby or bar and the breakfast items were sparse each morning. Another observation….we thought it strange to have a label (posted on the 6th floor) stating one must hold button to call the elevator.

Location and price point are exceptional for everything Sault Ste Marie downtown and Soo Locks related. Hotel is clean and very quaint. Rooms were very clean and well appointed although slightly dated. It works however. Staff is friendly and helpful. This is an historic hotel and building with quirks and unique qualities. Moloneys Alley is the Irish pub across the street has excellent food and service. Will be back and highly recommend.

Not meant for anyone with a wheelchair or handicap. Parking is a joke with only 2 handicapped parking spots. The bathroom door is difficult to get through with a wheelchair. Also after I checked in I went up to the room to get the air conditioner running because it was extremely hot and the latch for the lock was holding the door ajar so anyone could have been hiding in my room. That is dangerous. The front desk person was very rude. She lacks any empathy and doesn't have any customer service skills.

The staff here was extremely helpful and friendly! Our stay was affordable and comfortable 😌

Old classic hotel, could use some refreshing. Bathroom floor very stained, either permanent or needed good cleaning. Beds good, convenient location. Not much breakfast choice.
