Beautiful hotel, perfectly located with gorgeous stylish interiors, but evidently understaffed.
We stayed in a lovely corner suite, which had great views, but an odd and impractical floor design, which involved a long path to get from the bedroom to the bathroom.
The front desk staff was consistently helpful, and always replied with a smile. However, we found the front desk empty multiple times and had to chase the clerk with the restaurant staff, which is not what you would expect in a premium, 5-star hotel.
Our biggest complaint is with the housekeeping staff, which unjustifiably skipped cleaning our room for 2 days during our stay. When informing the front desk after the first housekeeping omission, they claimed it was probably because we left the “do not disturb” sign on the door (we did not), and then it happened again, even after we had reported the first time.
Later during our stay, we moved to a double room on the 3rd floor, which had maintenance issues with the main door (it didn’t close properly, and the lock was not functional) and the toilet didn’t flush properly, an inconvenience we had to report late at night, with support with the only night clerk that was also in charge of the front desk, who managed to get us a toilet plunger. Our room also did not have water bottles, so we had to go get the ourselves.
Lastly, the overnight parking daily fee of $55 feels excessive, but appreciate the hotel didn’t charge for onsite package deliveries.
