⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Perfect Stay! The Lakes Inn is truly a gem in Detroit Lakes. The location could not be more perfect—right across from the lake, which makes it easy to enjoy the views and everything the area has to offer. From the moment I stepped into the room, I was blown away by how pristine everything was. The condition of the furniture, appliances, bedding—every single detail—was immaculate. The cleanliness here is unmatched; it is absolutely spotless, and you can tell how much care goes into keeping it that way. On top of that, the owners are wonderful to deal with—friendly, flexible, and always ready with great recommendations to make the stay even better. Their hospitality really sets this place apart. The price is more than affordable for the value you receive. Every cent feels well spent, and honestly, it exceeded my expectations in every way. I can’t recommend The Lakes Inn enough—this is the place I’ll return to every time I visit Detroit Lakes!

The place is completely a surprise & hidden gem for the price. Everything here is super comfortable & they have everything you need already in the room. The bed a was comfortable & the pillows were very fluffy. The fireplace is a nice touch as well as the rain shower head.

Sparkling clean room with all the necessities, including basic kitchen stuff. Bed was comfortable, pillows good, everything was nicely set up. And the wonderful Detroit Lakes sandy beach is just across the road. My only complaint would be that it took a long time for water in the bathroom to get hot. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay if you want to be right across from the lake! Our suite had been updated. All worked fine! Cantina was nice for coffee in the morning! Well run by the couple who own this now. Very friendly...as you would expect in Minnesota! Used one of the open kayaks on the water.

What first brought me to this place was that it was pet- friendly... stayed 2 nights. Bathroom- perfect, bed- perfect, kitchen- perfect... place even had a fireplace. Also had great little coffee shop on site, but, better get up early if you want your coffee from there, it gets busy quick, but very good. Great food places walking distance, 2 places had live bands.. and the lake is just right across the street, take out your boat or just relax on the beach. I'm not one to give 5 stars to anyone, because nobody is perfect, but first time for everything, I guess..5 stars for us. PERFECT
