"The hotel is conveniently situated at a junction where you can find food very easily. There is also a supermarket nearby so we could just stroll over to grab a yogurt drink after meal. The hotel room looked dated and it’s observable from the design and the bathroom, as well as the carpets. However, the room is reasonably clean and service was sincere, friendly and prompt. I sent some clothes for laundry and the staff took the effort to inform me that the clothes would be hand washed then dried under the sun so they should be ready by evening time later on. She also informed me of the pricing, then went on to ask if I was alright with that. I like it that they are very clear with charges and there is no hidden cost. Service was also very prompt. I asked for more water at the concierge when I came back from dinner and the room service staff was already waiting for me at my room door with the water by the time I got out of the lift. The beds were clean and comfortable too. My aunt and I rested well for the two nights we stayed there. The only negative was probably the air conditioner which was quite loud. But once we fell asleep, it didn’t bother us. There is also a very cute tea set in the room which guests could utilize if they wanted tea. It would have been better if they had given us four bottles of water instead of two. Then we would have been having our little tea appreciation session more regularly."

The facilities were new and complete; we even washed our clothes that we hadn't washed for several days during our trip. Cleanliness: Clean, and the bedding was changed after each guest. They also provided extra disposable toiletries if needed. Environment: The room had a river view, and warm sunlight streamed in. The room was on the 17th floor, offering an unbeatable view. There's a shopping mall downstairs, making dining and shopping very convenient."

"The room was big and so was the bed. The bedding is comfortable to sleep on and the bath water is strong. The most important thing is that it is equipped with a tea table. It is very comfortable to look at the Hanjiang River outside the window and drink Dahongpao. There are several small restaurants nearby, and parking is very convenient for dinner."

"The homestay in the village is integrated with nature. There are many tourist spots nearby. We stayed for three nights and traveled slowly. We were arranged to stay in an ancient building with a history of more than 100 years. This building was formerly a school. The rooms are decorated in Chinese style in the Republic of China, which is comfortable and practical. The store manager also arranged dining and travel suggestions for us. Thank you very much! The dog Wangcai is very enthusiastic and accompanies us when going out and eating. It feels like home."

"百侯山庄 is truly a gem addition to the town. The property is very well maintained, peaceful and tranquil. Everyone from front office, kitchen, security and housekeeping are like family and we had many lovely conversations with them. Special thanks to the chef for our daily breakfast who cooked up all the lovely Hakka dishes and even treated us to a special one on our last day. The climb to the top of the hill at the back of the property is well recommended if you have the stamina as the view is beautiful. Location wise is ideal as 百侯镇 is just across the road as well as 田园农庄 around 600m up from the right of the property serves very tasty Hakka food definitely worth the walk up. Overall our trip back to the ancestral hometown has been made perfect with our stay here. Just want to say thank you to all the staff at 百侯山庄 for making this a complete and memorable trip!
